The Full Length Mirror
The Full Length Mirror
As you left the steam room and hopped off the scales you caught a glimpse of yourself in the full length mirror. I’m in pretty good shape for even if I have got chicken legs you said to me as I sat on the bed.
You turned and took a long hard look at yourself in the mirror
I wonder what would have happened if I had never banged my head as child and turned my eye. I would have had no eye operation and probably would not need glasses now.
I wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t had that bad fall and hurt my knee maybe I would have better a sport...

I feel So Sorry
I Feel So Sorry
As I look back and hear your voices of regret
I feel so sorry
I look at the things I caused, the distress I imposed upon you
The suffering you endured with silent dignity
I feel so sorry and embarrassed.
I look at myself with a critical eye
What possessed you, what were you thinking
Why what did you hope to achieve
Did you even give it a moment’s thought?
Is there an inner me with a self-destruct button?
Does this inner me have a cruel core, a dark sense of rottenness?
Why would I deliberately set out to...

I Watched You Sleeping
I Watched You Sleeping
In the conservatory on the settee it was a bright sunny day and you looked so peaceful
Your face was relaxed and serene and your nostrils flared ever so slightly
Your lips were softly closed and you chin was at an angle
Every few minutes your neck gulped for a little air but you slept on
I could just make out you pink bra strap peeking out from your black vest
Your stripy trousers slightly pulled up over your ankles
Your feet just splayed apart thankful to be off the floor
I just sat opposite you watching you rest
Your tummy rose and...

Memories Your Dad Denied You
Memories Your Dad Denied You
Did you know you had a grandma?
No I mean a real grandma
The one they kept silent about
Do you know why?
Did you know your real grandma loves you?
Even though you are kept from her
She does not stay away from you
Your grandma is kept away
Do you know why your dad denied you?
Of contact with your real grandma
Half of your family
Kept out of sight
Do you know?
Who raised your dad?
Did he ever speak of his mother?
Who does not understand why?

Tell The Stories
You were never allowed to tell
List the things you were denied
Reveal the places you never were allowed to go to

Right Now
So Can I have You Now?
Are you ready for what that entails
Can you surrender yourself to my every desire?
Are you ready to give, to ignite your fire?
So can I have you now?
Feel me touch your skin and wander aimlessly
To you innermost places and linger
So can I have you now?
Can you feel the urgency of my kisses?
As I nibble your ears and stroke your face
Breathing softly on your neck
So can I have you now?
Just lie back and wait
As the clothes tumble Iyou have taken my bait
So can I have you now?

Three Simple Words
What words can I say, that have not already been said,
I ask myself, thoughts dancing round in my head
I want to give you a gift, something from me
that lets you know truly, what I want you to see
But no words will do justice, to my heart aching to tell how I want to fill you with pride, and make your head swell
Every time you kiss my lips, my heart pounds in my finger tips fever racing through my core, making me want you all the more
I need you by my side, on this long and crazy...
