I am many things, a cyclist, a reader, a dreamer, an underachiever, a deceiver, a non believer in whatever peddler crosses my path but a poet I am not sure I dare call myself a poet. One day maybe, but not yet.
OBSERVATIONAL POEM

Spent
They marched ineffectually through the bay
Seeking a champion to pave the way.
The clarion call emerged
Frosted in bittersweet tears of neglect
Glasses chinked in respect,
the conversation a Lyrical dirge.
Freedom expressed through satellite channel
dressed in the conventional
garb of rebellion.
Meanwhile, the light inside is flickering,
bickering with the shadows
endless repetition of my reflection.
On the kitchen floor
I lay spent.
Seeking a champion to pave the way.

Drain
font=Times New Roman][font=Lucida Sans Unicode,Lucida Grande]Wasted,
lying wasted in the gutter,
clean and shaven, lying in this rats safe haven.
my skin slipping away,
it will have no part in this day,
this sad sad stuttering
day.
This day filled with sunrises over mountain peaks,
and glittering ice lakes dancing with beautiful feet.
This glorious day, where new born lambs squeak into existence,
the tortoise squeezes under the garden fence
searching for greener pastures. Finding only greener stares.
My Stare, looking skyward, stripped bare,...
