Creatures of the Night
Desolate maiden of the night
Woven tight in beautiful disaster
She's made of honey and alabaster
Him a prince of darkest nights
Holds her dear
Shields her frights
Shadowed in all shades of black
Upon his head
A top hat
Dapper fine young gent
Picked the thorns from her head
Though we could not
See it true
Our hearts melded beneath the moon
Sighs of creatures of the night
whilst we lay upon the ground
Soft and sweet
Beside the fire
We gave into our deepest desires
Cool breeze and...

You cut me off
Just like that
With a twist
&
A snap
You tore me from
Our body
Left me there to bleed
And decay
Still I lay in wait
My other half has
Gone away
Here I lay &
Deteriorate
Connected once
So true and dear
Then you
Sliced me off and
Left me here
Gone so far
I know now
My other half
Is never
Coming back
Just like that
