so you want out?
so be it then
was it not peaceful
staying with
and within
me
dear poem?
remember
no matter
how much
someone would love you
cherish you
treasure you
no one
i guarantee
no one
will know you
better
than
i do
and
no matter how much
they'd adore you
regard you
no one
would understand you
better than
i do
for we were one
all along
till this moment
yes
your coming out
will lay bare
part...

the railway track
there
lay the body
on the railway track
the railway track
no face no race
unrecognizable
only the trousers
those were black
there
lay the body
on the railway track
the railway track
he chose his passing
at the railway crossing
why on earth why
the retrievers wail 'n cry
there
lay the body
on the railway track
the railway track
no face no race
just the trousers black
dead men give no answers
neither do...

the burial
for when the heart
became a place confined
for the weights
of the waits
the emotions
came out
as words
clad
in deep red
too heavy
to carry
even on paper
he chose to bury them
call it cliche
he chose the location
deep
in the woods
afraid
of their exposure
and the consequences
of it
now safe
in the knowledge
no one will venture
that deep
he came home
to a new reality
the void
in his chest
for the words...

thirty five thousand steps of joy
morning light
glorious
bright
not yet
like cicadas
they rose
from the ground:
the grind of
modern day life
before the sun
they rose as one
yet miles apart
on land
mates
the meeting
with sun kissing goodbyes
to the horizon in the background
the fun
had already begun
the journey
through the woods
at pace
of a swooping hawk
with beats of high bass ...

call them a tree huggers
back where i was born
roamed carefree
stood and still stands
a baobab tree
born somewhere back
in the sixteenth century
somehow it stands
amongst the ruins of a fort
not too far away
from an emperor's court
legend says the hollow
sheltered forty men
hasn't changed much
from what it did then
had the good fortune
spent time inside
from the entrance on its chest ...

gouache
she said
color me gouache
any day
i said
wish
i had the hands
to deal with the depth
of your shade:
ochre
for i now
understand
why
my blue
turns red
exposed
to you
as i have said before:
red is the color
i love
red is the color
i bleed
blood
that nature kept
blue
till it met
you

of waterfalls and cannonballs
twas the day
i fulfilled
the childhood dream
that one wish
of standing
up to the
waterfall
taking the impact
on the chest
as the moment arrived
closed my eyes
a nanosecond
before the water wall
hit
with ferocity
of a dozen mad men
landing their fists
full force
and at once
never felt
alive before
though storm showers
are appreciated
any day
once in a while
it is time
to heed the call
raging
waterfall
