Poet Introduction
I favor clear, straightforward writing, based on real life experience. I think form poetry is fine but if it has little or no emotional impact. I like poems that cause my stomach to drop when I read them.

Listening To A Fanatic
He talked for a long time
His crazy blue eyes
Boring holes in me.
He talked of Demons
And Dark powers,
Treason and twisted conspiracy,
Satanic rites and secret plans.
He talked of a tunnel
Built under the third runway
Of the new Airport.
A tunnel to be used
By the socialist minions of Satan
To ship captive Christian patriots
Off to the Fema camps
Without inconveniencing
Or alerting the travelers
At the regular terminal.
When he finally walked away
I felt like I had just finished
A bad dentist...

Stoking the Fires of Anarchy
There are two women
At the party.
Sisters as it turns out.
One is pregnant,
Very pregnant.
The other is fat,
Very fat.
While I am talking
To the pregnant one
The fat one comes up
Beside her sister
And starts nuzzling
Into her sisters neck
Cooing endearments
As she strokes her sisters
Hard round belly.
Her sister glows
Under the attention.
I am hard
In less than a second.
It is one of the hottest
Things I have ever seen
In real life.
The husband
Of the pregnant sister ...
At the party.
Sisters as it turns out.
One is pregnant,
Very pregnant.
The other is fat,
Very fat.
While I am talking
To the pregnant one
The fat one comes up
Beside her sister

A Love Poem For Someone I Do Not Know
Her posts online are
Close ups of her face
Talking into the camera
Glancing aside
Now and again
To consult a text.
Always a little flustered
A lock of hair out of place.
Sometimes tired
Sometimes chatty,
Full of hopes and schemes
Sometimes sad,
Weeping for the ugliness,
The brutality of the world.
Once she shares her shock
And hurt at being dumped.
Once she reads from the depth
Of a sleepless night.
No matter what
She is always beautiful
Beautiful in her honesty
Beautiful in her thoughtfulness...

My Retirement
I will sit against a wall
In a quiet sunny corner
With nothing to do
And no where to go
To dream and doze
To think and remember
All the women
Who have been kind to me:
Hard headed Ann,
Crazy Deborah,
lusty Anna,
Angry Claire,
And Rosalba curled up
Like a baby
In the back seat,
And Susan in the daises
And Jackie beneath
The blazing night sky
And jealous Kathleen
Threatening to leave me
Then taking me home
To fuck all night
And Miss Vicky
The professor
In the arts of love
And Miss...

Naked
Naked
she lies there
half on her tummy
half on her side
poking and prodding
her hair back
into shape
Naked
I stand there
watching her
with wonder
and admiration
she is not satisfied
she is not tired
she is not done
she is just waiting
patiently, hopefully, politely
for me to get hard
Again
Naked
like someone
waiting patiently
for the last bus
she lies there

Don't Wonder About Hell
Like it is Now!
When you die and go to hell
You will wake up to the alarm
Walk out into the rain
Hump and bump
Through traffic moving slower than
A man can walk
Just so you can
Keep a roof over your
Head for another month,
Just so you can afford
To drink another
Night away forever.
Hey come to think of it
I guess it will be just
Like it is now.
Where Do You Live?
Daddy’s pet boa constrictor
Crawls into the babies crib
And crushes it.
The parents don’t wonder
About hell any more...
