Distance Within a Man's Heart ( dedicated to Savaja )
I was touched by your words
How well you chisled into my granite mind
You were gentle though, careful to probe, not offend
For that I thank you, because you care
I'm thinking about this entry as I construct
Instead of my usual conceive, write and burn
Finding reasons to believe in my craft
It's easy to fall in love with words but still fail
You've given me reasons to believe in myself
Stay humble but take some street cred
Dancing between emotion, desire and hunger

Road Noise
This will be my new name
Next time I run away
Giving you a heads up
Way in advance
I came to the name innocently
A road salesman I know
Said his career in sales could be summed up
Two words "Road Noise"
If you work in outside sales you know
Half the job is just getting there to your next call
But Road Noise is an avatar for life
The process, the struggle, competition and sometimes glory
Next time I run away
Giving you a heads up
Way in advance

Tasting your Submission
passion and romance
and then
the opening
the walkway looking west
a small cutaway
I held you close
staring into your laser eyes
holding you tight
tenderness spinning out of control
a new control emerged
one you knew was buried
deep in my brow
matching you stare for stare
electrons and gamma rays
cross stimulation
I took your smile
and marked it
with my glare
taking you
under my wing
protecting you
feeding you
giving you breath
tasting your submission
leaving you hungry for more…
and then

She hasn't used her card in awhile

Left all the riches

After they close shop

Abstract the notion of classical
Shredding the strings beyond reason
One day I'll go back
When I've written my masterpiece
I'll stand away from the crowd though
Never going on that fucking Today show
