Are you one?
Do you know one?
Have you been ruined by one?
If inflicting pain gives you pleasure are you
already one.
A Dark Empath
"Dark empaths are skilled at expressing empathy in a cognitive way rather than an emotional way, and the emotional distance they retain while operating equips them with a laser focus to achieve their ends through manipulation, gaslighting, or bullying"
Don't cede control to them....enjoy them by all means but see through their excellent disguise,their pretence, their egos.....their own...

Last Laugh
When we walk
Death walks with us
We take a breath
Death takes one too
Deaths not a stalker
or some glib talker
just a lonely shadow
doing a thankless but necessary job.
I'll have the last laugh
and the last breath though
and death, might rage
he didn't get me on his terms, will move on
and find some more compliant poor soul.

I don't want to grow into my own skin
I want to slough
I want to farewell the old one
with gratitude and reverence.
A stirling job it's done, but
it's s time to shed
lke all the skins before you.

Who are they talking to that nobody can see?
A friend
A colleague
A tradesman
A lover
A sibling
A ghost of a former self ?
What are they listening to that no-one can hear?
A podcast
A song
A book
A fading echo of their inner voice?
They move amongst us
the wired, the tired, the nearly expired
the zombie walkers
the mindless runners
those boom box bastards on their e bikes.
Put the noise away....I beg you.
Listen to the songs...

Eternity is a long time.
I hope there is no afterlife
At least none that lasts forever
Which is silly in itself as time is a human construct and so is forever and infinity.
First digression....damn I'll try and stay on topic.
