As the candle stick sits
Waiting to be lit
In a fiery zone of desire
- peace and calmness surrounds it;

Soft and delicate
Her hand comes along,
Lighting this candle
Bringing brightness unto the stick

My calling has been answered!
My light is secure!
Running along in life, now
In the height of brightness

Suddenly her hand retracts - away into the wind
Bringing all light that was once
Into a plunging fearful darkeness
Not calm and peaceful at all

As I pick up the pieces of my candle
Into a burning fright...
