Like a wild fire

her spirit is scattering

like the ocean

wavering oh so desperately

great fear running through her body

forcing her to be on the run

she can't even fathom the thought

of having access to peace and joy

a frantic life

is all she knows

scars from her early days

are escaping out through her pores

she desperately hides them behind the make up

and the skinny jeans and long sleeve shirts

people look at her funny

Confusion

Worries

She's afraid

The world is going by her so fast

She has no idea where to turn

Sometimes she thinks that God is ignoring her

She prays day in and day out

She cries her eyes out every night

Begging God for a sign

Who does she turn to

She's all alone in that black hole

Her knees balled up to her chest

She rocks herself back and forth and back and forth

The cold tears fills her eyes

She can't even think straight...

late nights
tossing and turning
sweat dripping everywhere
hot flashes back to back
her head exploding like firecrackers

early mornings
sun rising so vividly
wind is flowing through the clear sky
leaves are blowing everywhere
her body's up against the thick air
as she jumps high with glory
casting out that darkness
