POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I only write to rid myself of the fevers that plague my soul.
Your love, as a Metaphor
This little earth of my mine
Never quakes anymore.
I am lumbering
In a dead land
Where the land and sky
Cracks and aches
Parched and stripped
As dry and swollen as a corpses lips.
It seems so long ago
That I was forced to let you go
And wander deadpan
Into these vacant dead lands
Where your touch is as rare
As the song
Of a bird.
Never quakes anymore.
I am lumbering
In a dead land
Where the land and sky
Cracks and aches
Parched and stripped
As dry and swollen as a corpses lips.
It seems so long ago
That I was forced to let you go
And wander deadpan
Into these vacant dead lands
Where your touch is as rare
As the song
Of a bird.

Cat Stench
I wake up
At 2 am
Because my throat burns.
Every room in the house….
Cat smells.
Cat Spray.
Fucking. Feral. Feline.
At 2 am
Because my throat burns.
Every room in the house….
Cat smells.
Cat Spray.
Fucking. Feral. Feline.

Just so you know
You’ll know who you are when you read this
My very own cynical Jesus,
Whose heart swollen wide
Rides a mystical tide,
Only you know how I favor white Cheezits.
I need you to know how I feel
That I know this battle’s uphill
But when it is done
And this struggle is won
I’ll be left with a steel-fisted will.
You know who are, dearest friend,
I hope to meet your soft lips at the end
But when a heart breaks
It must suffer hard aches
And learn how to love once again.

I Miss You For....
The man you never were
The man you want to be
The man you never will be
Which is to say
I don’t actually miss you at all.

The man you never will be
Which is to say
I don’t actually miss you at all.

How to love an addict:
Come here a moment,
Sit down
While I stitch up that
Same, sore wound
You’ve reopened so many times.
If you don’t mind, I’m
Putting in a small piece of my heart
Before I close this up
Just as little as I can give;
At trite relic, really.
When I’m done I want you to leave
Shut the door behind you
And never look back.
I'm stitched up in you,
But I'm not a surgeon
and I'm not saint
and I want to keep close
what's left of my heart.

Un-prophetic Vision
I had a flutter of a vision last night
Standing in front of a snow capped mountain
With a cherry faced man, both of us wearing
Fleeced winter hats, baring toothy grins.
Sparkling like a tethered bird
Who forgot how to fly.
I wear red, spaghetti strapped camisoles
And vexing, black skirts
Drunk, just a little,
High, just a little,
Dance on the slippery, glittery club floor
Like a stripper;
Letting them caress the wild, wisps of my black hair
Touch all the right places, just a little,
Until I able to
Unleash the...

Toast
You can’t find the lighter you say,
You need a lighter for your cigarette.
So you grab the toaster, take it into the bathroom,
And I sit in the rocking chair and watch TV, a story
About the mundane horrors of polygamy.
Somewhere in my head, I know what’s happening,
That you took your shirt off, that you needed a
Fucking toaster in the bathroom
And a spoon
And a needle.
Forty-five minutes, still an amateur.
You come out and I grab your arm,
Keep my face in check, keep my jaw from dropping
At the giant, mean welt on your arm, ...
You need a lighter for your cigarette.
So you grab the toaster, take it into the bathroom,

Nemesis
I’m tired of her too.
All smiles,
Always offering golden anecdotes,
Take one of these and I’ll call in the morning,
Wink, wink.
But she never calls, does she?
The phone as silent and estranged
As her heart
Comfortably encased in a durable, metal cover
So that if you happen to drop it,
never a crack will you see
no new calamity
Only the mask that is she.
Never the frigid, lost me.

Snatch
Make me forget.
Camouflage your lies
Contrive your caresses.
I don’t care.
Reach underneath, and twist my heart,
If you’re able.
Make me forget
The way you once forgot me.
Remember;
I’m dangerous.
The contour of my hips that
Fold into
Into a dark and seedy pendulum
The sharp lips of a succubus
Pink, flushing, cruel,
Fallacious imp.
Are you ready?
I will swallow you
I will claw you
I will absorb your body
Until you ache like a wounded bird.
Camouflage your lies
Contrive your caresses.
I don’t care.
Reach underneath, and twist my heart,
If you’re able.
Make me forget
The way you once forgot me.
Remember;
I’m dangerous.
The contour of my hips that

The sharp lips of a succubus

Wolf
You eat me from the inside
Chew into my flesh
Until I am a listless heartbeat
Beating for you; bleeding for you;
Weeping for you;
In a vast, black void
Waiting for you to
Enter me, cum in me,
Fill me
Make me alive again
For a smoldering moment
Stalk me in the void,
Cadaverous deadlands,
A lone black wolf
Hungry, starved
Poised to devour whatever
Comes my way.
Chew into my flesh
Until I am a listless heartbeat
Beating for you; bleeding for you;
Weeping for you;
In a vast, black void
Waiting for you to
Enter me, cum in me,
Fill me
Make me alive again
For a smoldering moment
Stalk me in the void,
Cadaverous deadlands,
A lone black wolf
Hungry, starved
Poised to devour whatever
Comes my way.

Painter
There is nothing wrong
With lifting your face
To the scorching sun
And screaming
Until your pain streaks the sky
With lifting your face
To the scorching sun
And screaming
Until your pain streaks the sky
