POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Come sail my ocean and we'll drown togetherA delicately dainty quill, doused in the darker depths of my heart
Forgotten Treassures
A day will come
When the light will break the waters gate
And invade its dark and empty corridors
Illuminating every inch
Reclaiming our lost treasures
Making the broken things bright and beautiful
When the light will break the waters gate
And invade its dark and empty corridors
Illuminating every inch
Reclaiming our lost treasures
Making the broken things bright and beautiful

Stuck in Today
It's torturous to me
When all we do is breathe
Where yesterday becomes like tomorrow
But we're stuck in today
I guess I'll sleep it off
And wait for tomorrow to rescue me
But in our gut we know
Tomorrow will become a memory
There's no flavor
There's no spice
I'm beginning to hate
This flavorless life
But I guess I'll wait and see
Waiting is my specialty
We depend on luck to get our way
And look where we are
We're still stuck in today
When all we do is breathe
Where yesterday becomes like tomorrow
But we're stuck in today
I guess I'll sleep it off
And wait for tomorrow to rescue me
But in our gut we know
Tomorrow will become a memory
There's no flavor
There's no spice
I'm beginning to hate
This flavorless life
But I guess I'll wait and see
Waiting is my specialty
We depend on luck to get our way
And look where we are
We're still stuck in today

Innocence
Heart pounding
Tears flooding every nook and cranny
Slicing, screaming through the halls
My mind is
Twisting, churning, burning
I can feel it
This new awakening
Growling, biting, barking
Fear is the air I breathe
And I'm surely suffocating
Funny how the innocent
Get sucked in prematurely
Murderers, rapists, sadists
All from those once happy
Craving what was stolen
Crying, begging, pleading
For an ounce of innocence
They once had in surplus
So easily stolen
But never obtained

Gravity
I hate it when you smile so broadly
That time speeds up and slows down
And the planets can't keep up
You're my gravity

And the planets can't keep up
You're my gravity

Defining "She"
She is the rain that won't stop pouring
She is the wind that doesn't stop roaring
She hides herself when there's no one around
Until night falls on your door she will pound
She keeps you from sleeping when you are tired
She mocks you and calls you a liar
She is the thoughts you can't escape
Her voice is on every audiotape
She chases you because it's fun
And no matter what, you are outrun
She hugs you tight in a loving embrace
Then drags your body without a trace
She slices you into a bloody...

Perfect Girl
Another day, they call her perfect
Her GPA is 4.0
She's always cracking jokes
Often smiling wherever she goes
Fighting tears as she sits
She writes what's on the board
Her muscles ache and her eyes are burning
From the torment the night before
Then someone sees, beneath her sleeves
Artwork scattered across her wrists
They always ask her, "what's the matter?"
Her cat just has distemper
She never speaks of what really happens
Beyond the "welcome" sign
The teachers sense it but never...

Lost in Blue
You opened your eyes
I saw the ocean waves in changing tides
And the lush shore
They were deeper than the sea
A never ending river
I forgot how to swim
You drowned me

They were deeper than the sea
A never ending river
I forgot how to swim

Tiny Boxes
We are a lost cause
Our minds are kept in tiny boxes
and we've swallowed the key
I want to break free from myself
I bang into these walls
I scream until the voice has left the room
And I'm caught between two hard places
My box and me
A box cannot contain me
The mind cannot be smarter than its confinement
Because the more I try to leave
The more I miss my tiny box
And all of its misery
Don't unlock me
Don't regurgitate the key
Just understand that our world isn't free
Our minds are owned by...

Three Strikes
Three Strikes
Just three
One for you
And two for me
Just three strikes
To make me smile
To make you scream
To color the Nile
Three strikes
Is all I need
To torture the evil
To see it bleed
Just three
For you to see
For you to feed
Three's just enough for me
Just three
One for you
And two for me
Just three strikes
To make me smile
To make you scream
To color the Nile
Three strikes
Is all I need
To torture the evil
To see it bleed
Just three

Defining Anger
Anger is a hurricane, relentlessly blowing
Anger is a weed that doesn't stop growing
Anger is a person who won't stop knocking
But anger is the door that keeps unlocking
Anger is the key you never find
Anger is the clock that gives you more time
Anger is a drug you're forced into taking
Anger disguises the mistakes you're making
Anger punishes when you are good
If you are the fire then anger's the firewood
Anger is a house you're trapped within
Anger reminds you of every sin
Anger listens when...

Behind Your Eyes
I'm looking through you
Beyond your sins
Because behind those green stars are galaxies
A whole universe of light
Beyond your sins
Because behind those green stars are galaxies
A whole universe of light

Tuesdays
You sit on that same bench every Tuesday
It's that routine that gets you
An endless cycle of watching and waiting
And smiling at the wind that never smiles back
Of repeating your last words again, on Tuesday
Are you really taking these feelings that your unfortunate mind stumbles upon into account? It's Tuesday
Another day of living hypocrisy
And suddenly, you notice yourself
Like the scent before a storm
The wind is blowing
There's no shelter big enough to contain what you claim to be empty ...
