Timeless
Distance doesn’t matter
But keep me close.
Love doesn’t know time
Therefore, everlastingly we float.
Our lives entwined
I lay there
Calling your body home.
If life wasn’t acquainted with time.
In your arms I’d tarry,
Never growing old.
So far from you
Reaching out to you.
Feeling the clock run.
Cradled in your sun
Blanketed in your certainty.
But Kronos is after us.
Love knows no distance
Over miles, i wake up to it’s shine.
Anchored in your love affair
That never...
But keep me close.

Something Pure
I feel like i met you outside of time
You remind me of what the ancients
Told stories about- like the goddesses in the sky-
You don’t belong in this generation
Life to you is more than the hustle and grind-
Even though your drive burns bright in your eyes
I fell for your mind-
More creative than artists before ‘99
I stare at you if I wanna see something beautiful besides an early morning sunrise-
I see travels to a new millennium with you-
In a different lifetime-
Continuing down this path, leaving the past
Trying...

Thirst
Thirst can’t kill the drought
That drives the predator.
In the eeriness of loneliness,
Apparitions of your shouts
Drown me in a river, I’ve yet sipped
While you’re praising who’s responsible
for the drops of lust that drip
On these lands I’m ignorant
To. Battered by the benighted rich
Scenes of the terrain.
Shamed of the reflection that my intentions and actions display but
You kill the pure dreams.
You light this fire with no intentions of reverse
You set in the thoughts of your bareness
And the awareness that I’ll die...
That drives the predator.
In the eeriness of loneliness,

My mellow heartbeat sings
My mellow heartbeat sings-
Thus death missed a soul-
While I walked Earth with Immortality-
Drawn by an everlasting glow-
Since the journey begun-
I never knew the lotusland we were to join-
Or saw any hell for us to overcome-
But he bid me patience -
I was ignorant to the grace-
Acknowledging the frustrations-
I could not bade- thus light erased-
Darkness swallowed us-
Though we kept walking to eternity-
Time had abandoned us-
Urgently- With haste came serenity-
Without vigilance life and death was...

Not a Sonnet
Eastward of me, my heart slumbers
In a bed of her own, while I shadowed
With loneliness, lay in my aloe
Bed. Close my eyes to hear her
Release and intake time borrowed
Mortal worlds fall away hallowed
Without her.
How am I not in your company-
Within reach of your existence?
With my concise persistence;
How are you not here with me?
Inhibition upon this expedition
The fires of the end wouldn’t stop the distance

Disagreements
We fight fire with fire
Because one of us has to win.
With no chance
Making things worse.
Saying the worse
Till one of us hurts the most.
Thinking that letting it all out
Will just bring us close.
So we keep this game up.
Who's gonna fold first?
Till tears of regret roll out our eyes
And by surprise, the room is quiet.
Because at the end
You want me to hold you.
Love you like I'm supposed to
And stay.
Because one of us has to win.
With no chance
Making things worse.

Why do you do this to me?
Bring out the side of me I don't like.
No matter how much pain is there,
Or how hard you're crying.
I sit there looking numb,
To your words and the hits you throw
Because "here you go again" right?
Because when I don't make you feel immortal
Fighting words become physical and you swing with emotion

More Than Me
Every relationship has its problems.
We see each other in a way,
Thinking that maybe we're visible
The same way in the eyes of others.
Thinking maybe I don't deserve her.
Then I cause her pain, she does the same.
Showing me we're both mortal.
No, she'll always be more.
We may bleed the same blood,
But she's stronger.
No matter how much hurt is involved,
She makes love last longer.
She knows and shows no weakness.
She gives me strength when I'm weakened.
She's more.

2000 Pieces
I was putting pieces together.
Focusing on the outside just to see how it all came together
But when the outside was all done,
The inside was difficult.
Filling it all in,
Even while staring at a picture
It didn't make sense.
Scattered pieces nearby,
And I still can't find what I'm looking for.
So I walk away from it.
Come back to see it differently
With the same level of difficulty.
The pieces I'm searching for, look back at me.
While I pick up the wrong pieces,
Pieces that look alike but still don't fit,
And this...

Admiring Her
She's a different kind of thick
Enriched and drenched in beauty
Inside and out
Yet insecure of what I admire and desire
She may not have curves like a vase
But my eyes trace everything
Trailing down from her face
Craving things I want to taste
But can't have
Making my hunger stronger
Yet she's ashamed
Because the way God molded her isn't praised
But the beautiful goddess is way more than what she acknowledges in the eyes of others
