Dad
You'd think it would make me angry
You'd think it would make me sad
But if this is about honesty
Then to tell the truth it made me glad
That thing you called "marriage"
Was never ever that
When you screamed at my mom
Did you feel like a better dad?
I wish it hurt
When you walked away from me
When you left the family
And took away apart of me
I wish it hurt
I wish it would cut me
I wish it would bleed
But instead it just scars up
And shows a weaker side of me
I wish it made me angry
But instead it made me glad...
You'd think it would make me sad

Orders
Why do you let him control you?
He is evil, with a nice smile
He says he loves you
But if he did would he do this?
You are a smart person
You don't let people all walk over you
But that seems to be all you let him do
You're acting like you're afraid of letting him go
I've come to realize its not love you have
It's control
To him you're a dog
He just barks orders at you
You don't know what love is
You just do as you're told.
He is evil, with a nice smile
He says he loves you
But if he did would he do this?
You are a smart person
You don't let people all walk over you
But that seems to be all you let him do

It's control
To him you're a dog

You don't know what love is
You just do as you're told.

I wonder what you'll be like
Going through potty training
Then later teaching you to ride a bike
My sweet boy, Indio
I can't wait to see
What you have in store for your father and me
Will you have curly hair or straight?
Blonde or brown?
Will you be full of energy and loud?
Or a deep thinker and barely make a sound?
Will you have blue eyes that shine no other
Or will you have beautiful brown eyes like your fathers.
