Speck of Dust
To look at me
Is to stare at a moment
For I am but a trinket
Compared to the great jewel called time.
Time which we give so much value
Yet it too is only a part of the universe
One which we can only observe in moments
Hoping to give meaning
to eternity

Sober Tempest
There are days
Where nothing special happens
Just a day you'll forget about
In a few years it won't even be a footnote
Yet you find yourself awake
Not from stress or worry
Just from the stillness of life
It's a rare moment as you grow up
One is always buzzing
Always something to take your attention
But not today, not tonight
You just blend into everything
You feel a oneness with everything
Life isn't going well for you
However you still feel content
You are happy with your life ...
Where nothing special happens

Take it all
My pain and sorrow
My joy and happiness
The very essence of my being
Take it all
Leave nothing for anyone else to recognize

For if you want a piece of me
You might as well as take the whole thing
Because when a Lion
Gets a taste of a human

The Other Side of it
I am
who I am
As I am
I do however
Live in a world
with others
In all that I do
I just do me
I follow my own path
What I have realized however
Is that the other side of this
Is that you intimidate people
You aren't responsible
for the feelings of others
However it doesn't feel good
To learn that you make others uncomfortable
It's a love hate thing
In the sense that
One must never dumb themselves down
Yet there are genuine people
Who still feel small
You can't...

State of Despair
I have finally reached it
To have sunk so deep
That right now there are no feelings
No depression
Just nothing
Drained of everything
Feeling trapped
Then when you finally get out
You learn that you are in an even bigger trap
It's as if leaving the cave with Plato is futile
It wasn't the shadows that were dangerous
It was always the figures casting them
Playing tricks with your mind
Encouraging you to get out
Only to find that it's all dark
Should you continue living like this?
Should you continue to...

Perpetuating ones avoidances
A subtle dance with death
Fiendish to the feeling
Of having life flash before you
Slowing down only when asleep
Letting your mind rot
As you consume nonsense
All the pleasures
Have grown mundane
Yet you know no other path
Running away from it all
As you pretend the next hedonist act
Will make you forget
Yet after it all fades away
Your reality still stares you in the face
Unfortunately I hold no advice

Tell Him He'll be Okay
Tell him he'll be okay
He may not believe you
He is still hurting
But tell him he'll be okay
It may take forever for him to heal
However there is a way forward
He is about to go through a lot
The pain will be hard to bear
He is strong though

Where's My Heart
I love love
I just don't love being in love
I love seeing people in love
I just don't love the idea of
me being in love
Okay that's a lie
or maybe it isn't
I am just neutral to love
I can't even say I'm single because
I'm trying to find myself
I am very happy with who I am
I've just hit that point where
I'm really a lone wolf
I'm that person a plus one invite is wasted on
I can't even say I don't feel love
Because I have tons of it
It's just over the years ...

The Fold
We are human beings not human doings"
It's funny that I wrote this two years ago
Because here I am having to
learn this lesson
My life feels so free right now
Yet I do feel anxious about my future
For the first time in my life I had nothing to do for months
It's crazy because I only had a form of escapism when I was working
Yet this year it was just me and my thoughts
It was a roller-coaster because I had so many days in which I felt down.
I'd feel good one day and just wake up
In a shitty mood the next

Irony: A Writers Unveiling
Public Speaking:
I went through school as a Math wiz
It always came naturally to me
I truly believe that I am left brained
Because I tend to lean on logic before
I lean on emotions but hey
One day I decided to join public speaking
Now in terms of competing
I was a little late to this party
It wasn't just about speaking in front of people but there was a technique to it
Well I missed those 'formative years'
So I decided that I would have the best content out there,
We could all speak but what are we saying
