Irony: A Writers Unveiling

Public Speaking:

I went through school as a Math wiz
It always came naturally to me
I truly believe that I am left brained
Because I tend to lean on logic before
I lean on emotions but hey

One day I decided to join public speaking
Now in terms of competing
I was a little late to this party
It wasn't just about speaking in front of people but there was a technique to it
Well I missed those 'formative years'

So I decided that I would have the best content out there,
We could all speak but what are we saying
So my writing started with speech writing

The Process:

From this point I started writing like crazy, literally every single day
Multiple times a day
I then realized thay speech writing is easily adaptable to essay writing
Following this I started writing both types
Until I then decided to write a book

Publishing:

I left High School with a certificate
And the draft for my book
Getting a Publisher wasn't easy
However I was young and relentless
I got my work online and self-published

This got me some attention
I was a published teenager
I was ready for my work to get out there
However I wasn't comfortable with being called a writer or an author
It's crazy I know but that's how I felt

Pressure:

Having learned how to publish myself
I started releasing multiple books a year
However at some point, I think I was chasing something
I was writing to keep up with a crazy pace
Then again, I grew accustomed to writing when my life was falling apart
So instead of keeping journals
I wrote manuscripts

Pause:

After my 10th Book
I started to dislike my work
It didn't feel like the beginning
It was like I was writing from duty
Instead of it being from loving the process

So I didn't release anything since then
I had other things to focus on
And this time I wrote things the world didn't need to see
I explored who I was
And reconnected with myself

Prestige:

It's really been a journey
And for the first time in my life
I can call myself a writer
I feel like I have to reearn the title of being an author, but hey that'll be done soon.

I see that my journey has allowed both my writing and I to evolve
I am happy with where I am

I still need to do more with my knack for Math but that's a story for another day
