You filled the void
Perpetuating ones avoidances
A subtle dance with death
Fiendish to the feeling
Of having life flash before you
Slowing down only when asleep
Letting your mind rot
As you consume nonsense
All the pleasures
Have grown mundane
Yet you know no other path
Running away from it all
As you pretend the next hedonist act
Will make you forget
Yet after it all fades away
Your reality still stares you in the face
Unfortunately I hold no advice
There's nothing I can say
That isn't convoluted
So don't mind me
I am just an observer
A researcher if you will
One who occasionally
steps into the darkness
To try and see what really shines the brightest
I may be here out of whim
Just to witness the comings and goings
Of out very nature

The energy in this poem is frenetic. Like everything is spiraling out of control.
“ All the pleasures
Have grown mundane
Yet you know no other path” I thought this particularly was noteworthy as this is, for me, when I take my biggest leap for change. I really like the intensity of this write. H🌷

Thank you once again for your comments. Sometimes people do reach that point where they seek change but only in theory. Like those adults thay are heavy drinkers but will tell a youth not to follow in their footsteps. This pleasure has grown mundane yet still has grip on you. Knowing when change is needed is very important.
