POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I explore the erotic world, sensuality, and whatever other topics shimmer and dance through my brain. Life is full of passion and we should not fear to be who we are wholly.

Broken
Today
I received
A call
From
The school nurse
Telling me
My son
Was in the health office
Having fallen after recess
(in some fluke of errant shoe strap)
Upon his wrist on the stairs
She'd iced it
And sent him back
To his kindergarten classroom

Still
He was in significant pain
So the nurse (finally) thought she'd
Better call me in to see
Said it appeared he was in kind of a lot of pain
Good thing she...

Hey!
Hey!"
I was walking minding my business.
"Heeey!"
Still walking, still minding, trying to make it to class on time, see.
Thinking someone's kids're drivin' 'em crazy, been there myself a time or two, grinning wryly.
"HEY!"
"Hey! Hey! HEY!"
It wasn't until after I opened my car door, put my purse and book bag on the passenger seat.
As I reached forward to start the ignition, I made the critical connection: all that frenzied yelling I'd been vaguely hearing had been directly targeting me.
