Coax
Coaxing dying embers
With delicate breath
Breathing life back
Into this lich flame
Life so stagnant
Blood congealed in veins
Awaiting that moment
That reanimation
Coaxing dying embers
With prodded stick
Force the great awakener
When subtlety fails
Life so stagnant
A duckweed covered pool
Stinking and deathly
But life lurks beneath
Coaxing dying embers
With Gerry can and petrol
Blunt, insane, painful
Effective all the same
Life so stagnant
A rotting, decaying...
With delicate breath
Breathing life back
Into this lich flame

Traitors Heart
Our hearts are vessels for deceit
Living in hope they don’t secrete
To spill our deepest darkest deeds
To expose our ever hungry needs
When the one we love is with another
And the one we have, our child’s mother
How can we forget feelings found
When life already finds us tightly bound
How do we live with this truth denied
Denying all that we desire inside
When we hunger for just one feast

The Autumn of Our Love
Love was once a vast ocean
For our hearts to be set afloat
Now it’s a land locked pond
Too shallow for any boat
Our passion was an inferno
Blazing deep in the night
Now there are barely embers
Offering little warmth or light
Sex was an endless conquest
Novelty and adventure to each shag
Now it’s a pointless battle
With you waving the white flag
Companionship was a river
A great flow of admiration

Lust for Hathor
Upon the banks of swollen Nile
She may stop and bathe awhile
Underneath the desert sun
Whilst Ra's light does shine on
And catches in her ebon hair
Cascading down skin so fair
The Goddess of the sky above
Hathor, Goddess of great love
Beauty and protector both
The Goddess of abundant growth
A splendour beyond any contest
I resolve to make her my next conquest
As water splashes on bare breast
My heart hammers within my chest
Consort of both men and Gods
A stirring begins within loves pods

Cleanse me
They say there is acid in the rain
But I don’t feel that
As I stare up at the sky
And feel it cleanse me
They say I’ll catch a chill
As water courses down
Rivers dripping from my hair
Soothing my bare chest
They say the water will drown me
But I welcome its rise
Waiting eagerly
To bathe in its fresh clarity
They say storms are dangerous
But I can't help but run to them
Embracing with open arms
Their wild freedom
They wish the rain would stop
But I want it to stay forever
