POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I started writing poetry at 11, and only ever stop when the depth of life drown me, but the words live in secret inside me
Don't let it hit you on the way out
You want segregation
It’s yours
You want a life away from me
There’s the door
Pursue your dreams
I have mine
I’m not afraid of being alone
I hope you find
What you’re looking for.
It’s yours
You want a life away from me
There’s the door
Pursue your dreams
I have mine
I’m not afraid of being alone
I hope you find
What you’re looking for.

That fragile thing
It slipped so slowly
That fragile thing
It slipped through fingers
Clutching at smoke
And that fragile thing
Lay in pieces upon the floor
It’s glass you see
That fragile thing
And I thought it was clear
See through
Like a polished window
Reflecting all on the other side
It’s glass you see
That fragile thing
But glass can sometimes be opaque
And clutching at smoke
That fragile thing slipped
And lay in pieces upon the floor
That fragile thing
It slipped through fingers
Clutching at smoke
And that fragile thing
Lay in pieces upon the floor
It’s glass you see
That fragile thing
And I thought it was clear
See through
Like a polished window
Reflecting all on the other side
It’s glass you see
That fragile thing
But glass can sometimes be opaque
And clutching at smoke
That fragile thing slipped
And lay in pieces upon the floor

This is hell
This is hell
I have died you see
I know this now
I must have been truly terrible once
Because I’ve been sent here
To live amongst the enemy
To experience the daily joy they have
In celebrating every misery
That befalls me
This is my life
This hell
I must have been truly terrible once
I have died you see
I know this now
I must have been truly terrible once
Because I’ve been sent here
To live amongst the enemy
To experience the daily joy they have
In celebrating every misery
That befalls me
This is my life
This hell
I must have been truly terrible once

You know what it's like, right?
You think you know what it’s like
Because you know what it's like for you.
You read the words, and they ring true
You relate so well
You know what it’s about
You understand
Because you know what it's like for you.
They speak the truth; it’s true for you.
Because you know what it's like.
Because you know what it's like for you.
You read the words, and they ring true
You relate so well
You know what it’s about
You understand
Because you know what it's like for you.
They speak the truth; it’s true for you.
Because you know what it's like.

f**k your noisy bright ass world:
The world I live in is the same as yours
I share the sky with you
You roar and scream your existence
Like I could hear who you are above the noise
Like it matters
This earth you walk on is mine as well
I share the rain with you.
But your existence matters more
Because the majority is always right
And best.
Right?
So I sit alone in darkness
Because there is nowhere else to go
I do not belong in this world.
How can I when
It hurts to exist here
So take it;
The world is yours to blow
Up
I share the sky with you
You roar and scream your existence
Like I could hear who you are above the noise
Like it matters
This earth you walk on is mine as well
I share the rain with you.
But your existence matters more
Because the majority is always right
And best.
Right?
So I sit alone in darkness
Because there is nowhere else to go
I do not belong in this world.
How can I when
It hurts to exist here
So take it;
The world is yours to blow
Up

So long ago
It seems so long ago;
The days where dreams flowed
strongly through my soul
Where every step seems to have meant something
There was power in my gaze
Purpose to my steps
Every dream meant the world
Hope barked louder than the soft growl of misery
And determination held the world together
In a structured set of rules
It seems so long ago now
When I was that young girl
Owning the world
Declaring my strength with every carefree footfall
On the black tar of the town that I lived in
When uncaring I sang as...

Whispered I love yous
I wake at night and you are there
Pulling the blanket up over my ears
Your skin brush mine in sleepy wonder;
Whispered I love yous at 3 AM.
Alarms are blaring, it’s work again
Tapping out the beat and humming along
Fingers brushing across my skin;
Whispered I love yous at 6 AM
Driving, talking and soft looks exchange
My fingers brush the nape of your neck
And your hand slips from gears to leg and back;
Whispered I love yous at 6 PM
Music is playing and I’m at the sink
Washing the dishes but before I blink
Your arms slip...
Pulling the blanket up over my ears

Rock with me
I smell you on my breath
As we argue
I still taste you on my lips
As I turn and walk away
But when I sit and rock
Your arms surround me
And you rock with me.
You hate that I push you away
And I hate that you make me
As we argue
I still taste you on my lips
As I turn and walk away
But when I sit and rock
Your arms surround me
And you rock with me.
You hate that I push you away
And I hate that you make me

Communicate
Here
Take this box
My heart and soul’s inside
Tentatively
Hands reach out
To gently take it from me
But it’s empty
You sadly say
So I turn away
I can’t stay
You do not see
My mind or me
I take the box
It’s mine now
It’s even heavy
But you can’t feel
The weight of all I am
It’s not your fault
I just don’t communicate
Take this box
My heart and soul’s inside
Tentatively
Hands reach out
To gently take it from me
But it’s empty
You sadly say
So I turn away
I can’t stay
You do not see
My mind or me
I take the box
It’s mine now
It’s even heavy
But you can’t feel
The weight of all I am
It’s not your fault
I just don’t communicate

Not all I am
This is not all I am
This crust
This wall I surround myself with
This underrated colourless skin
That reflects none of who I am
This is not all I am
Below the surface storms abound
Light reflects
And fires burn
Because this skin
This is not all I am
I’m a mountain
Strong
Invincible
Unwavering
But this is not all I am
Inside me fires burn
Lava flows
Where blood should be
And ice covers the rest of me
But this is not all I am
This crust
This wall I surround myself with
This underrated colourless skin
That reflects none of who I am
This is not all I am
Below the surface storms abound
Light reflects
And fires burn
Because this skin
This is not all I am

Remember Today
Remember today
When kindness was greeted with baseless mockery.
Remember today
When kindness was greeted with baseless accusations
Remember today
When the truth came out
But the apology did not.
Remember today
That you are still there
To pick up the pieces of their broken life
Despite it all.
Remember today how strong your heart is
Because this is how you have survived to here
So remember today
When you made it
Through another storm
Without a single scratch.
When kindness was greeted with baseless mockery.
Remember today
When kindness was greeted with baseless accusations
Remember today
When the truth came out
But the apology did not.
Remember today
That you are still there
To pick up the pieces of their broken life
Despite it all.
Remember today how strong your heart is

So remember today
When you made it
Through another storm
Without a single scratch.

Segregation
More and more I decide the drama is not worth the reward
I choose segregation.
I choose peace.
Yet they keep trying
And ripping
And mocking
And they think that somehow I will care again
What can I say.
There is no more
I love and it gets broken
Death comes to take it
Life comes to break it
And the gods come down to tear it from my arms
Whilst humanity snicker and laugh at the losses
That I seem to collect with every step
There is no more.
I am broken now.
I can’t love any more.
Except for him,
And when he...
