The Weight of our Relationship
The weight of our relationship is crumbling around us.
Life as we know it has turned to dust.
The pain we both carry is suffocating our love.
We are hanging by a thread.
Maybe it is all in our head.
The smiles are now tears.
This has always been our worst fear.
We keep trying.
Trying to make it work without lying.
Right now we need to find hope in something.
The dust is slowly starts to settle.
I cant help but tremble.

So today I hit my knees and prayed
So today I hit my knees and prayed, it had been a while since i felt that way.
Some days I feel stretched so thin, but even though I feel weak I have to get up again.
So if you happen to talk to me and I'm not like I used to be, it’s because I'm struggling being me.
I am struggling to keep up with my everyday things to do, I know I need to do this because my debt to those three babies is long overdue.
There will be days, yes this I know, but the bad days seem to be getting the light that says go.
I'm strong no matter how weak i feel and I know I can’t do this all by...

Statistic
Tomorrow and come what may, you were meant to live and fight another day.
So don't cry or wish for a better life, smile and not ask why.
We were born with a future of failure and defeat, everyday tell yourself "I think that was a mistake that won’t be me”. They will go on doubting us. Everyone does, but that doesn't mean we give in to hate, we just give more love.
We won’t be the woman and men that were not supposed to make it, despite your hateful words we sleep well every night.
We know we are a statistic based on our childhood, all the kids that grow up in the system...

Gone
She was a loner.
No one care to get to know her.
Now I’m just a prize something you get to look at.
I’m done I want to be seen as a woman not a thing.
so hold your pride tight.
will you be jealous and not feel right?
I am beautiful beyond your control.
there are plenty of men who see me for me not just something to add to their inventory.
So hold tight sweet one because soon I might be gone.
No one care to get to know her.

Bruised and Alone
I lay curled up in a ball.
Finally you are done having your way with me.
I somehow get up, but not out of strength.
Something tells me to tell someone.
Then im reminded i am alone and no one cares.
Throw away the torn clothes and paint a smile.
I slowly walk this world so bruised and alone.

Overcoming Addiction
It’s scary learning to be you again learning how to become your own best friend.
Learning how to walk without stumbling, and speak without mumbling.
Learning that it's ok to feel, because it's then that we learn to heal.
The days are so pretty and bright, if you take the time to see it with a clear sight.
There is so much joy in everyday, don't let addiction steal that away.
It’s easy to live for the buzz or the high, but that doesn't leave much room for the important people in your life.
Bad days will come, but so will the good days, and yes the urge will come but...

Hello world, can you hear me?
Hello world, can you see me?
I may look different, but I am here.
I need a friend, just like you.
Can anyone hear my cries?
I am longing to be heard or noticed.
Stop walking right past me, just give me a minute.
To some I am a disgrace, but I am more then just an ugly face.
I won't waste your time.
Hello World.... anyone out there?
