Promise of Love
I promise to love you from the heart.
I swear I’ll never change my mind.
You’ll be my only girl until my life ends.
And I’ll stay by your side forever,
No matter how things turn out, dear.
Through sad times and glad times,
I’ll always be there to support you.
Don’t worry if everything will be all right.
I’ll make the best of what we have,
And I’ll show you how much I care.
Years from now I’ll remember this day;
I’ll never forget my promise of love.
We’ll share our love until we grow old.

The Real Purpose of My Life
I am a religious man from a small island in the Caribbean.
Faith, love, hope and goodwill are my greatest possessions.
My hope is as strong as the faith and the love that I have.
Every day I search for truth in the pages of the Bible.
The sacred texts help me to understand the real purpose of my life.
Why should I dwell in a land where there is no peace?
My hope is in a future paradise in which there will not be any suffering.
So I must share my hope with the inhabitants of the world.
My principal desire is to obey the commandments of Jehovah. ...

Man In The Dark (a Mind Full Of Thoughts)
Inspired by Antonette
At the beginning of sunset, I sit on top of the parapet
struggling to ignore a mind full of thoughts.
The memory of a special loved one from the distant past
Still haunts my head perplexingly.
I peer through the dimness of dusk hopelessly,
Yet I can’t rule out the possibility that I’ll see her before long.
Although I’m not preparing for bad news at this time,
I don’t fear what the future will bring.
Electric lights adorn the nearby mountainous region
providing me with a spectacular view.

I don’t have to write sad poems anymore;
Neither will I spend another night alone.
I’ve searched a long time for a real love,
And at last, I’ve found you.
You’ve turned my darkness into light;
All my dull moments are now bright.
Euphoria replaces my sorrow,

I'm Going to Love You Constantly
Love will not change,
Feeling alone like the wind,
Wasting away my future,
Pining for love,
A lost love I can’t reclaim,
Unable to break the promise I’ve made.
Sounds like boredom,
But I have nothing else to live for.
Time can’t reverse,
Trying to bring back the past.
I knew if I lost you, I’d die slowly.
Tortured by loneliness,
I’ve tried everything I can to cope.
No cure for a crushed emotion,
I can’t hold out much longer,
I’ve lost rationality.
Submerged in depression,
I no longer count the years, ...

Nothing I did for you could make you feel contented

Blue Heart
Blue was the colour of her evening dress.
Dark and beautiful were her eyes.
When she left me that night, I knew I would regret it.
And I knew I would have a blue heart.
She trusted me with her love.
And I should have done all I could to protect it.
But instead, I betrayed her trust.
She caught me in close contact with another girl.
Kisses so warm and sweet the dim porch lights had revealed.
The sight of it devastated her.
And her poor heart pounded.
The pain that she felt was too much to suppress.
It brought sadness to her...

Makers of lies hate truth, but I shall speak the truth even if it costs me my life.
Something is fundamentally wrong with the minds of world leaders.
Presidents, prime ministers, kings and queens, all politicians think alike.
They do not regard the people in worn-out clothes as their equals.
In fact, they do not even accept these persons as real men and women.
The lives of all human beings doubtlessly have the same worth.
Race, nationality, economic status, rank or religion, makes no difference at all.
The senseless warmongers...
