POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
My poetry tends to be messy and out of the blue. Some are personal experiences, others are just experimentation.
Bridal Jamboree
Bridal Jamboree
She cringed at the people and their questioning looks
What? She came alone she doesn’t need a date for this event
The focus should be on the bride… Her lovely sister.
Her sister looked gorgeous and radiant
But people kept insisting and persisting
“How come you’re still single?”.
When told she enjoyed her freedom too much
There was a gasp and several eye rolls
What the fuck was she doing here again?
Bouquet catching was announced and she wanted to hide
Dad encouraged her to catch it thank goodness mom knew better
Oh...

What is it like to have someone hold you with care?
How do you not shy away from their lovely warm stare?
I just realized I have a fear,
I'm afraid of becoming too attached
Of those I hold dear.
As much as i want to kiss you here and there,
I can't help but wonder
If you were of this ever aware?
I'm in love with you,
But the pain of past rejections
Still haunt me out of the blue.

Tuning Shenanigans
Tuning Shenanigans
Two silhouettes danced and pranced
The moon shining silver and bright
Feet tapping and high pitched singing.
There was laughter and shut ups
Still both remained indifferent
Equipped with good lungs and headphones.
From Hip Hop to Moody blues
Switching to opera and reggae
Music… Is where their heart lies.
Both girls squealed with joy
The journey was young
Three cheers to mischief all night long.

Fatal Craze
The fatal Craze
“I was bored” she claimed
“I didn’t want this to happen”
Her facial expression obviously pained.
It all started with a giggle,
Slowly becoming a bloody mess
No longer was the crime little.
Her eyes gleamed with pure insanity,
Now she sits in her cell with solitary confinement
Praying she could regain
Her lost humanity.

Crude Fascination
Crude Fascination
She was going crazy
People said
But she needed to know
How far she’s d go.
“What if…”
This became her motto
Armed with scissors
The pain shall be bliss.
Her fingers were first
With vertical slits
The blood oozes
But that didn’t satiate her thirst.
She cut open her wrists
Still not enough
She died a roguish misfit.

Arcane Charmer
She was a peculiar girl
Or least that's what some say
She has always thought otherwise.
Adorned with hexing talismans
Her blood fueled by witch's lineage
All of it worn with pride.
Her ankles clinked
With petite silver chimes
They rang with every taken step.
Face slightly sunkissed
Tresses concealed beneath her bandana
Eyes sparkling with youthful delight.
Just where did she come from?
Why was she here?
No one could tell...
After all she was indeed a arcane charmer.
Or least that's what some say
She has always thought otherwise.

The Belfry Nomad
The Belfry Nomad
Solitude was always a great comfort
No one to cling on to
Just silence and thoughts.
She was an average looking girl
No deformities present no mental illness
She simply liked the view from the belfry.
At first it was an escape
She hated her household
Too much animosity and hostility... Not very appealing
Her first snowfall since exile
Oh it was very pretty indeed
Dawning light was peeking she had to hide
She was an errant nomad
The Bishop would not be pleased
If he caught her again roaming around....

Every night
I admire you without fail
Always have growing up.
I used to chase you
During road trips
While my dad drove the car.
“Faster dad, faster
She is winning the race”
I chanted with childish vigor.
Even now as an adult
I look up to you
With such beauty who wouldn’t.
You’re my solace when I need comfort
You’re my courage when I need confidence
You’re the reason why I look at the night sky.

Dreamy Threshold
Dreamy Threshold
I let my mind wander,
While digging deep
In nocturnal slumber.
Not a restriction at sight,
Nothing to stop imagination
All through the night.
A world free of limit
I could share,
But I have a moody spirit.
Going down the hall,
Gazing into a window
Such views stand tall.
Elephants that juggle,
Encircled with music
A perfect life without struggle.

Tangent Anxiety
Tangent Anxiety
Her hints were too obvious
He wasn’t that daft or blind (she hoped)
Adrenaline and angst stifle her
What will happen now?
Placing an anonymous poem on his desk
That’s how it happened, will he know?
Heart beating erratically
She has not heard from him yet.
Cursing her ever present anxiety
She wished the bus would get there faster
She wanted to know
Does he care for her?
Taking small breathes
She saw him from far
With her poem in hand
And blank expression.
Tears sting her sight
She saw...

Restless Peace
Restless Peace
A mind plagued with contradictions
And countless oxymoron
Serious comedy all day long.
Such bipolar cruelties
Agoraphobic Claustrophobia
All torn and together.
This is a mindless piece
About a childish adult
Who is too young to be old
And too old to be young.
A mind plagued with contradictions

Serious comedy all day long.

Shadow Stroll
Strolling Shadow
Again she goes out for a stroll,
Everyday a different sight
But by the end of the night
Solitude starts taking its toll.
She longs for a friend,
She yearns for laughter,
Some warmth until the end,
Sadly she’ll never have a
Happily ever after.
She’s been dead for years
When they first stepped
into the morbid scene
Many were shocked and in tears.
Never sure of her goal,
She faced her fear like a coward
By jumping into the ignited coal
Soon her body by the flames was devoured.
