Banquet of Dread
It’s seven o’clock
and life is lost
so lets have a toast
it’s endless and done.
There’s the hollow sound,
of music and metal
a faint human voice
separated by an enormous cold.
The levity is there,
but it’s not there for me.
Alone I stand,
above and below it all.
Live in the lair
with total despair
so lets have a toast
it’s endless and done.

and I have the honors!

Dark Sun
Dark sun, dark sun
You bring your shadow upon us all
From now until a lifetime you oversee our fall
Your darkness shines in full bright
I can see as much now as in the dead of night
I see the innocent and unknowing grin
With teeth so white
While dwelling above them
The foreboding fright
The obstacles fade in and out with a blur
Dark sun hangs silently
No time, no future
No cure
In the bright face of your darkness
I honor you NOT!
Without hope, without meaning
Dark sun never stops

Suddenly Timeless
Moments go on forever,
Minutes go on forever,
Hours go on... forever.
I think of this tainted society
I am part of it
Like the moon plunged into the sea
I feel trouble ahead
Between me and the dark forest
But for now, I lie here in awe of Gods mercy.
Moments have past,
Minutes have past,
Hours are yet to come.
A tear draws to my eye
And the wound re-opens... again.
That timeless blood spills from the heart,
effort to fight is lost for just a moment
And the trouble that was past is back for...
Minutes go on forever,
Hours go on... forever.

I'll Catch The Next Train
It's been 12 years since my friend Eddie died
a battle with cancer, a nightmare in cries
Friends turned their backs on him, except just for me
connected in tragedy, just him, just me
This bond that we made with the reaper nearby
has transcended his death and one day even mine
We were no stars, mediocrity ruled
yet those celebrity friends, by far the most cruel
They all turned away and refused him support
and even his girlfriend had faded from port
But the more they turned, so did I, to him
we fought and we fought, this cellular sin ...

Singing Hearts
Oh quiet quiet earth
Beneath your skin there hides
The somber smile of
Hearts gone to rest.
Smiles growing with
Every waking day from
Beneath the dry leaves
Of an outstretched bough.
Hearts like husks
Emulating natures way
To seek truth and dust
Of an enlightened past.
They all beat as one
Through stone and earth
Dividing reality and oblivion
In manners unsurpassed.
Singing hearts of silence
Soar above the cloudless sky
With black and gray harmony
And shadows that never die.
