LOVE POEM

These Eyes
My livid eyes are growing dull
Striped of all their boyish shine
By each kick, each small rejection
Even though i say im fine
These orbs once bright and full of life
Now stare on through into the night
As opaque gems lost their lustre
No love nor darling in my sight.
Hung with tears they show the pain
Of love lost, before its known
A single drop runs down my cheek
To grieve the fact im on my own

Our time as one has come to pass,
But I think of you and raise my glass
And think of just what may have been,
If I had not old England seen.
How things will change and as they do,
We both go off to start a new.

My Walls
These walls I built around my heart,
She broke them every one.
And wove herself into my soul,
Oh we had such fun.
A year and more I spent in bliss,
In love and feeling safe.
But what would happen next would wound,
And leave me like a waif.
I didnt eat and couldn't cope,
Her words I could not shake.
The girl who wrecked my walls of stone,
Now made me lay awake.
Where are my walls, where is my keep,
I need them more than ever.
I cannot cope, I cannot cope,
Not now or in forever

Such a Bore
A crowded bar, a deafening roar,
But I don't care I'm such a bore.
A plasma screen with little men
Is it done? I'll go home then.
They run around with misdirection
Like they're mad from some infection
But people love it, the crazy fools
I'm just glad I know the rules.
Made to stand in some cold draft
And forced to watch them in their craft
Oh look! Just wait! They dropped the ball
How can this game the mass enthrall.
One team wins and the other loses,
All men spent with cuts and bruises
Almost done, and throats are...

Loving you
Never question my beating heart
Or why it yearns for you,
Remember only that I'm lonely
Have been from the start.
You came along and it all changed
My life, my world, my soul,
But it was short and infantesimal
It left me quite deranged.
The madness took me and I fell
Onto the Devils road,
Just to raise myself again from
Dantes burning hell.
I could never have the one I want
Nor could I survive,

The Bear and the Dancing Crane
Why does the bear with all his heart
Love the dancing crane?
For whilst she twirls with other birds
It only brings him pain.
All night long she twists and whirls
With birds that are so flawless,
The bear just stands alone, resigned,
He cannot take the stress.
A deafening roar erupts within
But dies to just a squeak,
He can't tell the way he feels
Or barely even speak.
Deep despair washes through him,
But then he knows the answer,
And from his soul he feels that

Clean, Clear Drop
My time with you it is but brief
Like clean, clear drop, on trembling leaf
I throw myself into the wind
Though I feel as I have sinned
This love I have is pure of heart
Though in my mind it does but start
To take a slightly darker hue
And all because I covet you.
I'll take the cheeky stolen glance
Romantic look or nervous dance
Do you know? or can't you tell

You sang to me a lovers song,
About sweet eyes of blue.
Though it didn't take as long,
To fall in love with you.
Your ruby lips dripping sweet,
With honeyed words of love.
What made you leave your hallowed seat,
From heaven sent above.
We laughed and smiled all the night,
Until you had to go.
Yours was such a gorgeous sight,
Perhaps I'll let you know.
The loss of you that night was hard,
It made me lose my head.
I wish I'd played the brave young bard,
And kissed those lips of red.

A darkened look from eyes that rain,
She thinks that I don't see.
That Phone of hers stuck to her ear,
A trembling voice filled with pain.
A guttural tone of anguished hurt,
How can I look away.
She caught me then as I looked her way,
I wish that I could flirt.
It's not the time and not the place,
To flirt and smile in vain.
But I cannot help but smile,
When I see her pretty face.
She softens now and turns to me,
A girl without a fear.

You gaze at me, those eyes again.
You lead me on, with no refrain,
it's like you have me by the nose.
But you don't care, while my love grows.
I fell for you, I'm falling still.
I can tell, I've got no will,
to stop before I hit the dirt.

Crash and Burn
A puff of smoke, my soul it shook,
A tiny hole, that's all it took.
My heart spewed flame and I was to learn,
It doesn't take much to crash and burn.
You did it swift and kept it clean,
The way you are, you can't be mean.
But such simple words can still destroy,
that which was a man, now just a boy.
My armor now cracked, it begins to crumble,
systems fail, my spirits tumble.
On fire I fell and hit the ground,
but I doubt you even heard the sound.
My pride you crushed and I ran away,
To live to fight another day,
