I wrote some poetry in the 1980's. I got positive feedback at the time. Until about year ago, I had not written a line since. I took up with some photographic artists on the internet, and find writing complements images well.

Inhabit the mind
Whisper melancholic secrets
Obtuse apathy
Mental atrophy
End stage vacuous grind
Mindfully seeing
Fatefully freeing
Psychic visions
Life unbound
Unknown courage from God
Against the current
Overcame deterrent
Expansive horizons beyond
Begets complicity
