Intuition

This is my first submission.  It's part of an artistic project incorporating photography and written for someone.  I recently quit a position of employment after twenty years on short notice.  On paper it makes no sense.  It was the right thing to do based on a gut feeling, and I unfortunately left some people in a difficult position.  No regrets.  Addressed is the fact that what happened defies simple logic and may seem like a betrayal.  But the usual factors in employment opportunities did not weigh as heavily in my decision and may seem crazy by others.  And I can't explain myself empirically.  I'd be happy to talk more about the circumstances or about why I'm writing, or at least trying to write.
