Truth Hurts
Truth hurts the pride
Truth hurts the ego
At times truth hurts the reflection of ourselves in the mirror
Truth hurts the innocent
Truth hurts the weary
Truth hurts the conscious, so it's buried in the query
Truth hurts the weak- so they recite lies when they speak
Truth is light- it could never go bleak
Truth hurts the agendas of those we do not see
That's why truth is distorted- then fed to you and me
Truth is the difference between knowing and belief
Truth is pertinent
So truth is all I seek
Truth hurts the ego

Mentality
Everything is mental that is just the bottom line
Retreat to my safe place
That's in my mind, that's in my mind
Cuz in my mind there is no time
No limitations, no outside
-Energy expending me
What's enclosed there is all mine
-And what's encased there is devine
Erase the worldly teachings and discover truth inside
-It's where I don't have to hide
I can set aside my armor, all my ego and my pride
-Somewhere that I can just unwind
-Float away to paradise
But they try to tell me I ain't got the time to be daydreaming or my life is...

UPBEAT INSPIRATIONAL POEM

Keep Ya Head Up
From hundreds of miles astray
I send all my love your way
No need to hope, wish or pray
I promise- soon everything will be ok
Because storms only linger for a season
And we encounter every one for a reason
Not with intent to leave us broken or beaten
But to build the character we been seeking
So know that every mission has a transition
And though it may not taste as sweet as we were wishing
It's exactly the right dose of life's prescription
To be put on track for blessings up for giving
So- keep ya Head up- four words of wisdom
I send all my love your way
No need to hope, wish or pray

Blue Flame
Surrounded by a world of sin
Oh- where do I begin?
To escape a place I don't fit in
I wonder vehemently- to touch your skin
Your aura- like depths of the ocean
I get lost- in full submersion
Forgetting the cruelty of this life's perversion
Your are the way I make it through
And if at any point my heart grows weary
I can count on your love- to come and steer me
From my path of destruction- to one that's endearing
Because I am a reflection- of the light in you
A flame so hot- that it glows blue
Cosmically connected- we are no...

Breath
I can feel her surrounding me
Her presence- is astounding me
Typically it goes unnoticed to me
But right now- I notice notably
- Mother Earth always denoted me
I fill my lungs uncontrollably
Each breath- rich as gold to me
Exhale what ain't supposed to be
You know the trees- I keep uhm close to me
Roll up
Close my eyes to see
Inhale- I feel her through me
This air- I know it fuels me
For this blessing- I thank you truly
Forever indebted- to ya beauty

My Life
Beautifully imperfect
A piece of work- that's worth it
Striving for what I haven't felt- somehow I know I want it
Thoughts and dreams are haunted
Strength and will's been taunted
Searching for that piece of peace
Feels like I'm treasure hunting
But treasure isn't something- you stumble upon too often
So, I guess I'll just keep chasing it
But if it's a race- I have no place in it
Because this is my life- so I'm pacing it
Look to the past only if I'm thanking it
For making me strong enough to embrace my gift
Humble enough to take...
