Bring you back home
Dreamed 'bout you last night
Beauty bowed at your feet
Angels looked at you with envy
God's masterpiece personified
We had time on our side
Living free without a care
No future to think and plan for
No burdens to bare
I held you in the cool autumn nights
Sitting in the back of my truck
Wondering what I did
To deserve such luck
We danced through golden fields
Barefoot we waded in the creek
Both waiting for the other
To say how we truly felt
But time betrayed us ...

Bliss
Swimming through sunbeams
Just trying to reach infinity for you
Flying with whispered wind
Feeling a little low
Knowing that you know
I grow transparent with every
Saturated spill of words
Babble is all that comes through
As my awe for you grew
"Would you like to dance?"
Is all my stunted stupid self
Could muster to such a beautiful girl
I turn to walk myself into rejection
When a quiet "sure" permeated and
Drowned the dazing music to exile
A flirtatious smile sent me high into
The heavens,...

Merry Christmas
Everyone wants to live forever
Trying to avoid the great unknown
Castles of silver, streets of gold
The doubts permeate your mind
Was I good enough to make it in
Or was my life to abundant with sin
Will I rise up to the heavens
Or fall to that boiling lake of fire
Will I come back as a butterfly
Or a pig fattened for slaughter
Maybe there's nothing
Spirits floating around with
Zero, zilch, nada to do
Or maybe I could be stuck in purgatory
With noone to free me
If I am reincarnated
I'd want to be a cow in...

Fate
Haunting my dreams
I see you every night
Relentlessly stalking
'Til the morning light
We were never meant
To ever be apart
Fate had different ideas
Untying our fetterred hearts
Days are no different
I see your face in everyone I meet
As I aimlessly wander
Through the surging streets
Wishing you beside me
Just one more time
To gaze into your eyes
To hold your hand in mine
Instead I'm carrying flowers
That I never gave
That horrible day
You were taken away
...

We melted into thick fog
Hand in hand
Watching the moon
Slowly rise and wane
Eyes fixed on each other
Spinning our web
Of selfish lust
Desiring to be fed
Unaware our creation
Was a poisonous parasite
And would slowly eat away
Until our desire would die

Unrecognizable home
The night smothered the day
And enveloped us with its madness
Driven by insecurities
And the unknown
Life has become unrecognizable
And this home, a stranger
Change is harsh
But also inevitable
Where do we go from here?
Live our lives in tears
Or try to see
Our reality a little more clear
It's lonesome in a way
To be driven from your home
Like some forgotten spellbound song
From a friend long ago
The die has been cast...

Dissolution
We've been through this before
Chaos contains corruption
All the screaming does nothing
But lead to dissolution
What happened to our love
We were meant to be
Fate must've been mistaken
With you and me
We thought we had it
All figured out
Now we're covered in lies
And surrounded by doubt
This burden seems crushing
I want to go back in time
When our words meant something
And you were always by my side

My heart breaks
For your tear filled eyes
I knew it was over
So did you
The sky poured down
It's grief in bitter cold
All our hopes and dreams
Of a future vanished
In a cloudy mist of grey
We loved a lifetime

Loves rapturous vapor

I've searched for happiness
Underneath all of God's
Vast skies
Walked the empty streets
Of a fading town
About to die
Trying my best to find
The secret to the
Elusive dream

If everything is really

Coolness of the night

I'll be home for Christmas
Sitting all by myself
Alone and self forsaken
Refusing anyone's help
Too many mistakes
That I've made
Too many memories
I've lost along the way
Surrounded by empty bottles
Knowing it's too late
Wondering how I can still love
Something I've grown to hate
If I could turn back time
I would've taken a different road
Wish i could've seen
How things would unfold
To turn my back on everything
That I've ever held so dear
Just to wallow in self pity ...

Skies bleeding grey
Rain covers my lovelorn face
As I question my existence
And try to make sense of....

That uses up what it wants

In the garbage bin
I watch the trees grow, bloom,
Wither and fade
Much like my heart
Given away....
Only to be raped
You said forever
But forever was just a word
That one day you could use
