Feels with love and laughter.
She was in love with that man.
Then he leaves to take another's hand.
Little to none does he help her.
Insults when asked for help incur.
She holds her head up high.
Figuring out how as to ask why.
She's born with pride and dignity.
A phenomenal woman I see.
She wont insult him for it.
She just carries on through this.
She works what ever she can.
Her life on hold for childs demands.
I sat and listened to what she had to say. ...

Young lady unsure.
She loves his smile.
Could he be her hearts cure.
Could he be the one worth while.
He tells her sweet things.
Shows her what she has not seen.
He touches her cheek her heart sings.
Lets her love be pure and clean.
He asks her hand.
She can't refuse.
Now comes the change in the man.
Poor child trapped in a circle of abuse.
She starts thinking her fault.
If she just learn what he wants from her.
Soon the pain and swelling will halt.
Years in still treated as a Cur.

To watch a Jamaican sky.
Its beauty makes the strongest sigh.
The sunset over beautiful water.
Walk the garden with son and daughter
Trying new foods and learning.
See the playtime in their eyes yearning.
Not a worry or care.
Making new friends, hearts to share.
Ackee and saltfish was good.
I ate yes like a big boy would.
People were sweet and kind.
I love the direct speaking mind.
Lady picked I was a giant kid.
Covered with children I was hid.

Power of the night its calling.
Lightning flashing, rain falling.
Deep beneath the ground I can hear.
The call of many souls we all shed a tear.
Put on brave faces unable to show fear.
I know where you are, I call your name.
Some brothers and sister, the same.
Some are ones I caused, I'm to blame.
Head held high, hiding my eternal shame
