Abstract Love
You can't break what's already broken
You can't take back what's been spoken
Words can't heal the wounds of a heart
You can't gather the pieces of a soul ripped apart
You can't wipe away the held back tears
You can't collect the unspoken fears
Everyone hates, if you're scandalized
Nobody cares, if you're vandalized
Nobody notices my tears or my plea
Nobody noticed how I set myself free
I found love where it wasn't supposed to be
Held by invisible chains, heartbreak was the key
A rough awakening to my reality

A little girl
She danced in the moonlight
And sang solos to the stars
She saw untamed beauty in all her scrapes and scars
Her laugh was like starlight, enchanting and rare
Her eyes held a universe, that always made you stare
She loved how poets manipulated words
How they could ensnare the beauty in fleeting birds
She wanted to paint with ink
Creating stanzas that would really make you think
Years and years went by
The little girl, learned how to cry
She learned the world was not a perfect place
People laughed at her and called her a...

I think
When we are young, we're scared of monsters under our beds
But when we grow up, we realize the real monsters are inside our heads
It's known by many names
For the twisted monster, death is one of many games
It favors anxiety, phobias, disappointment, and mostly depression
An expert with lies, making you question
Wondering if Life is just a beautiful lie
Filled with tears and blood upon my thigh
Thinking Death is a terrible truth
Stealing lives and everyone's youth
They say everything's a choice
Makes me wonder, if they've been a puppet,...
But when we grow up, we realize the real monsters are inside our heads
It's known by many names

Heart
I don't know
I've crushed my feelings, they cannot show
Buried deep inside my heart
I can't give away another part
Someone once stole a deadly shard
I can't get it back, the gaping wound scarred
My heart is like glass, enfolded in a cage
I'm living in the shadows, of life's grand stage
I once fought tooth and nail to hold on
But when I gave up, he was long gone
When I cried the shadows held me near
Filled with sadness, darkness and fear
I chose to rise a little stronger
I chose to try a little longer
I flirted with death ...

Kinda Crazy
Hey, hey you there
Look at me here
Please tell me that I’m crazy
That it’s not my fault that everything is hazy
Tell me I’m touched in the head
Tell me I’m not wrong for wanting to be dead
Please tell me what’s right
Please tell me what's ok to fight
You never let me explain
You still expect me to stay sane
You say I faked the tears and the pain
But how could I fake the scars and blood stain
I lived for the rain and I lived for the night
The blessed cool, the darkening light
Look at me here

Just because I hate doesn't mean I never learned to love
They say devils don't fly, but they always push and shove
They've never seen a demon in the sky
Just because I'm on the ground doesn't mean I can fly
My wings are broken but you push me and I fall

Phoenix
Amidst the ruby flames
Above the dying embers
Around a cloak of fire, circles higher
Following the sun, wing beats
Within concealed is a heart of fire
Behind an inferno of blazing tail feathers unfurled
Out of the ashes a burning sun is born
Around her, sparks set fire to flames that will never die
Against the azure sky, she is stronger than the fire

Crying Alone
I used to be bullied for being so dumb
Then at the young age of 12, I learned it was better to be numb
Soon my days
Bled unto a large haze
All my thoughts became synchronized motions
Regular as the beats of the oceans
Till day went away
And blessed night was there to stay
I know it was a sin
But cold metal met skin
My eyes were dry
However red tears I did cry
I knew I was beyond sad
Maybe a bit crazy, or a bit mad
But
Day always brought pain
Soon night was the only thing keeping me sane
Still by day I...
Then at the young age of 12, I learned it was better to be numb
Soon my days

Blind Opposite
You're the up to my down
When it's easier to go straight, I go around
You're the light to my dark
You leave it spotless, I leave a mark
You're the right to my left
You listen and I play deaf
You're the opposite me
Are you pretending, or can you really not see
We're not meant to be
I push you away
You say you're here to stay
I was born to be forgotten

We aren't yin and yang

Forever Running
They say I run like I'm to afraid to stop
I could run forever but you say I'll drop
But if I run forever I don't need to look back
And see the destruction laying deep path
You say I try to run, run from all of my fears
But you don't see the panic hidden in my tears
You say you see, sadness barely contained in me
You say you know, the pathway that I strayed from long ago
They say
"Beauty is pain and beautys' in everything."
Then what's so beautiful 'bout broken ones
Who've suffered more than all the world's to come

I know I'm the villain of this story
Everyone's told me, times 40
You inked me in on the pages of history
Every win every lose
Apparently ignited an imaginary fuse
I tried to hate
How you choose my fate
What's the opposite of Love, they claim it's hate
What's the opposite of give, they say it's take
They say forgive, they say forget
They don't care
They call me a murderer
Because I killed my innocent self
Reborn stronger
I tried to fight a little longer
I tried
I really did
