Into the eyes of a girl long gone
Soul searching gone terribly wrong
The need for answers led her desire to learn
The path of self-destruction is a road with no turns
Far from home, a heart was strewn
Out on the streets, out on her own.
Unspeakable acts, permanent mistakes
More lies to tell, more smiles to fake.
Whispers believed;
An innocent minds been deceived.
She still holds the key to her heart
But the lock has been torn apart.

Trapped memories in the hands of the dead
Tables turning, heads spinning devious plans setting in
Discovery in dark minds
Ancient history unwinds
Spirits of the lost 
With knowledge comes a cost.
"An eye for an eye",
so to speak.
Dirty secrets not mine to keep.
Spirits restlessly roam in the ash filled hourglass
Close my eyes praying it to pass
Pounding in my skull
Release thee from thy hell
Words ached to be written
