NIGHTMARE
Trying to deal with the pain
Of losing my baby
My number one lady
I decided to take a ride
Just like the state of Georgia
She is always on my mind.
I put the key in the ignition
Wishing she were in my rearview
Adjusting the mirror so I can get a clear view.
Cruising down the road at a steady twenty-five
Speed limit reads sixty
Cars steady passing me by.
People cursing, steadily blowing their horns
Giving them the middle finger
Wishing they would leave me alone.
Can’t they see I’m hurting?
Love got me sick,
One more...
Of losing my baby

Cheated
She's the love of my life, my wife
Beautiful like a seed that sprouts like a rose.
Her smile is the sun that sets in the morning.
Pure is her heart that pounds
We are forever bound,
Tied in knots, but gently we escape
Lost without one another
The wind sings our names.
It's lovely, my wife lovely, the centerpiece of my puzzle
So elegantly put together
Fit for the whole world to see.
I saw, the beauty in her
God cried, showers of rain glowed
An angel displayed for many to follow
A beautiful love story to be forever told.
At least that...

Trapped
The saying is that time heals all wounds
If that is the case I want this wound left open.
Let the blood pour out into words that express my anger
This love I have for this woman is danger,
Dangerously I'm in love with a woman
Who doesn't even love herself
Trapped in a lie but she thinks she is telling the truth.
The truth is she's deceitful a chameleon,
Except she doesn't change color she change in attitude her behavior is unkind
If only I could rewind and go back to the day I first met her
Knowing what I know now I would have never showed...
If that is the case I want this wound left open.

Feelings
I am who I am therefore I will not hide my feelings
Emotional love drips from my movement as I await the day to grace your beauty.
Could this love I have for you be faith?
Or am I forever trapped in a dream
Trying to break these shackles that separate us, for happiness is just a mere mile away.
For I've prayed for a woman like you to come into my life
One who would be my friend, my lover, to eventually becoming my wife.
I did say that I am who I am therefore I will not hide my feelings
For I could kiss you forever
Make you feel like a black superwoman ...
Emotional love drips from my movement as I await the day to grace your beauty.
Could this love I have for you be faith?

Weak
I’m tired of feeling this way
Feeling low and depressed
Time for a night out
Be a man
Stick out my chest.
Call up the boys
Time to make noise
Have myself a good time
No need for light
For tonight your boy is going to shine.
So bright, hit the club spotlight is on me
But suddenly good feeling turns bad
For at the bar whom do I see?
My love, the woman I gave my all too
Heart turns cold as if it were wrapped in an igloo.
Do I approach or should I just run?

But before I could reach her ...

Changes
Changes we all go through some types of changes
Some good some bad but life will always bring on changes.
Now today marks our one year anniversary
But for the past couple of weeks I've been in misery
Have work blinded us to the fact
That emotionally we have become unattached on one's own?
Not realizing we are becoming more and more apart
We see each other in the morning and at night
But somewhere we have lost that spark
A simple, how was your day, we don't even do.
I love you and I know you love me
But we have allowed ourselves
To get wrapped...
