Changes

Changes we all go through some types of changes
Some good some bad but life will always bring on changes.
Now today marks our one year anniversary
But for the past couple of weeks I've been in misery
Have work blinded us to the fact
That emotionally we have become unattached on one's own?
Not realizing we are becoming more and more apart
We see each other in the morning and at night
But somewhere we have lost that spark
A simple, how was your day, we don't even do.
I love you and I know you love me
But we have allowed ourselves
To get wrapped in ourselves
Forgetting about the other
Our jobs have become the new love in our lives.
It's our anniversary and look at us
We have become lost not appreciating this day
A fixed routine being we once was spontaneous
Now we both can predict each other moves.
These are the changes I see in me
The changes I see in you.
