Change
All of our ancient hatred
completely separated me
from my true happy ending.
Fear caused by the unknown
makes grown men run for their lives while
they shake in their weathered boots.
They are unable to accept anything
that they don't understand.
Instead of trying to comprehend,
humans would rather just condem and forget.
Without regret, they just pick and tear
at everything that makes our tears unique.
While in our cold, ruthless reality,
we still bleed the same red blood that they do.
But trying to make them understand will...

Behind the pen,
Hidden by a veil of words
Where I belong.
You won't see my face.
No need
To see imperfections;
Read the words,
Feel their magic.

You can call me a queer,
but whats odd about me?
You can call me gay,
and I'll admit I'm happy being me.
You can call me retarded,
I'll tell you that we're all slow.
Call me ugly,
and I'll show you
definitions of the word.
I'll give you a mirror,
So you can bask in your beauty.
I'll spit back your words,
so you can feel their sting.
I'll reveal a beauty that is only skin deep
and ugly that travels through the bone.

Forlorn forgotten city,
Wires smother sinking walls,
Debris deters relentless roots.
Abandoned centuries ago
With blood bought life.

Painting the Sun
The sun,
A canvas;
Blurred lines
Waiting patiently.
Golden tears fall
From the brush;
Hues of orange, yellow and red
Create stars.
With a final great stroke;
Stand back when she yells
"Let there be light!"
Now, watch it gleam.
