Although I like to write stories, I have never really written poety, but I've always liked to read it. So I figured I might give it a shot. It cant hurt to try new things.

Angel With No Wings
The angel's wings perish,
Shanghaied by a hellish fiend.
Now she's left stuck, abandoned.
Alone in a strange new world.
What a gruesome chance,
To be an angel with lost wings.
No more bells will be rung
On behalf of this sprite
She scours the earth,
In search for any care.
Forsaken by the gods,
The light turns to spite.
Benevolence is taken over,
By hatred and scorn.
All hope is now gone.
The angel is no more.
Abysmal life is eternal,
For this solitary cherub.
A desolate fate,
Is...

The Call
O where can you be,
My little winged friend?
My time will be through.
I can sence the dark end.
O where can you be,
Black bird of death?
Please just come to,
And devour my last breath.
The image of this world,
sad and forlorn,
has left but misery.
From the day,
We are torn.
As the light starts to fray,
Its the shadows that will stay.
From reality we are torn,
Then left with nothing but scorn.
O Raven of doom,
Wont you hear my call?
Take me to my tomb,
Once and for all.

Left Behind
Where have you gone?
I don't hear your voice.
I can't stand this silence,
Please, come back home.
Your time wasn't up,
You just weren't through.
I need you back here,
A piece of me went with you.
I have grown weary.
The dark surrounds my life,
Like a curtain of depression
covering both of my eyes.
I may join you soon.
I want to see you again.
All I have is pictures,
But a broken heart, they cannot mend.
Will I ever see you again?
Only time will tell.
I can't stand this feeling,
Of being left behind...
