LIVES REALLY MATTER
Black Lives Matter
But not Black Cops so says Marxist Chatter
White Lives Matter
No! They don’t (“can't find a rhyme for matter”)
Police Lives Matter
But BLM want to fry them in batter
Obese Lives Matter
Even if they’re getting fatter
Gossipers Lives Matter
We learn secrets from those who natter
Madmen’s Lives Matter
In children’s books Like the Mad Hatter
People with Flu’s Lives Matter
As long as they don’t spit catarrh
Suicidal Jumpers Lives Matter
We try not to let them...

Revolution
Let me be clear about this there are no longer mainstream media outlets that you can trust to eve take an attempt at truth. The wouldn't know the truth is it jumped up and pimp slapped them. None of the mainstream media are exempt from this. We don't have Journalists and more just clickbait prostitutes for hire to the biggest bidder. CNN and Fox are just two cheeks of the same arse.
but these media outlets lead a pandemic of lies and false information that is majorly infectious. All multimedia platforms are no doing the same thing, banning, censoring, and hiding behind algorithms....

Ode to DU
Ode Owed to DU
I am thankful to DU for many things
Advice, help, support, friendship
Learning and growing as a poet
The journey was more of a love affair
It was a place I called home
A place I was proud to call home
I became an evangelist for DU
Witnessing with much fervour
“The best poetry site on the net.”
I actively promoted this site
I protected it from outside criticism
Felt uneasy about internal criticism
It felt like somebody was criticising your mother
Had some very good years (Honeymoon period?) ...

Lying in darkness or the light
There's no real or perceivable difference
Lying is lying - try some honesty
ii.
Communities can be very dark places
Even one where writers/poets reside
Why live/remain in a dark
iii.
Fortune favours only a brave warrior
Especially when dealing out the deaths
Only to those who create injustice
iv.
Serve it cold, serve it hot
With Vengeance, it makes no matter
Righteous, moral correction is sometimes necessary
v.
Sometimes it is necessary to retire ...

The Clearing
Moonlit midnight in the darkened forest
branches beckon you to come hither
tree spirits know sinners against nature
dark forest tree hugs are awesome
when you are one with nature
those who offend nature are strangled
deep in the dense dark forest
I experience no fear at all
I feel protected by natures spirits
A forest is a dangerous place
only for those who disrespect it
ghosts of the past seek retribution
in a clearing in the forest
a battle was fought in earnest
I can hear the pipes and drums

When is a conspiracy theory
Not a conspiracy theory?
When does fake news
Become real news?
When is a lie told, Innocently
And when is it deliberately evil?
Are their only lies
Or maybe white lies?
Can you be economical with the truth?
Can you be untruthful with decorum and diplomacy?
Facts and truth are only transient
All facts and truth are relative to who is telling you them
And what their bias and motivations that they aspire to
How often have you been told a fact
Which subsequently turned out to be a falsehood?

Why are we placating religion
Why are we pandering to its dogmas?
Why are we excusing evildoers?
Stoning’s, beheadings, paedophilia
Honour killings, rape, murder,
Sharia courts, beatings, racism
Does God really hate fags?
Does the Ten Commandments
Not really apply when God is on your side
Do you really get seventy-two virgins?
When you're a successful suicide bomber
Or do all suicide victims end up in hell
Is religion a serial killer?
Killing infidels, killing Catholics,
Protestants, Jews, Hindus, atheists ...

Teenage Rampage (Part 2)
I was never sweet sixteen
Lost my innocence well before
I was on my way to alcoholism
a path set when I was fifteen
Following in a Glasgow tradition
an almost compulsory journey
if you didn't drink and smoke
and do drugs you weren't a Man
Ruling by fear of knife and razor
Now and then a claw hammer
Circumstance dictated the choice
Loved the nickname, said so much
"Ho! How's it gowin Big Man."
Or alternatively "Big Dougie's Boy."
One of the most feared men
In the neighbourhood; a psychopath
