The girl in the mirror
Tousled hair framing her face
Blue eyes staring back at me
Sighing she turns away
Was this all they could see
A china doll
A trophey on a shelf
Her mind full of knowledge
Made keep it too herself
Unwanted looks
Unsavory attention
Her hopes and dreams
They never got a mention
Wear a fake smile
Answer with grace
Play the part
As long as she showed her face
Turning back to face me
A smile of true happiness
Shining up into her eyes
Now seen for all she is ...

Twisting and turning words in my head
Tightening their clutches pulling me down
Scrambling my mind into disarray
Giving life to the cruelty I cannot ignore
Their power regaining strength
Draining my worth til there is nothing left
An empty shell of self loathing
Second guessing all that I do
Believing I deserve the hurt

Crashing into the depths below
Disappearing in the mist
The time has come to drift away
Lost in a world of dreams
Where angels and devils come to play
Enticing images to swirl
Amidst pleasurable screams

Darkness has decended

For they won't stay long

He saw inside my soul
Saw the frightened little girl inside
Protected by her walls
Her safe place to hide
He saw the demons of my past
That held me down so small
Beneath the scars and torture
That let my demons stand so tall
He did not judge nor run away
But stepped inside to hold me tight
Patiently listening and waiting
To bring me back out into the light
He fills my soul with all that he is

Punishment
As she begins to regain conciousness the smell of blood and sweat in the air fill her nostrils
Her throat curls tight making her gag causing searing pain to rip through her stomach muscles as they convulse
Frozen in fear she gulps down a scream, listening intently as tears flow down her cheeks
The silence telling her she is alone
How could she have been so careless and stupid she thought
She should have known it would enrage him
The cold hard floor under her in the pitch black room confirms her punishment isn't over
Her body begins to tremble...
