My Soul
He saw inside my soul
Saw the frightened little girl inside
Protected by her walls
Her safe place to hide
He saw the demons of my past
That held me down so small
Beneath the scars and torture
That let my demons stand so tall
He did not judge nor run away
But stepped inside to hold me tight
Patiently listening and waiting
To bring me back out into the light
He fills my soul with all that he is
I feel his presence wrap around me
Keeping me safe and warm
His love has set me free
I proudly stand by his side
Trusted in all I do
When my demons try to strike
He holds me tight and reminds me
'I got you'

This is pretty good. I like how you are not afraid to be true to your emotions. That is the most important part of a poet in my opinion. Keep writing.
