POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
LOOK AND SEE
Look at me.
What do you see?
A man? A mouse?
A check? A house?
Do I stir you up?
Want me in your cup?
I am crying out.
Understand the screams, the shouts?
Smell the funk of my wit's end?
Feel the hate of your pretend?
Hear that humming in my heart?
Shutting down. About to part.
Look at me.
See

Anna's Balm
Imagining the first communion of we.
When at last our shared passions can be free.
Savoring our tongues' sensual, sacred dance.
Swooning in the candle lit magic of our romance.
Feeling my manhood thicken at your tender touch.
Swimming in the mutual desire I've craved so much.
Mouth watering as lust-kissed panties slowly come down.
Stilling my rampant breath so I can't produce sound.
With outstretched arms your creamy love's offered wide.
Melting want's pain as your eyes invite me inside.
When at last our shared passions can be free.
Savoring our tongues' sensual, sacred dance.
Swooning in the candle lit magic of our romance.
Feeling my manhood thicken at your tender touch.
Swimming in the mutual desire I've craved so much.

LOVE ME
Deeply, truly.
For all my wonder.
With all my waste.
For just this moment.
Then for forever.
With passionate palpitations.
From your lips to eternity.
I just want to be loved,
by you.
For all my wonder.
With all my waste.
For just this moment.
Then for forever.
With passionate palpitations.
From your lips to eternity.
I just want to be loved,
by you.

Begin End
The way I love you hurts me.
So I don't want to love you this way anymore.
But I don't know how to love you any other way.
So sometimes I wish I could not love you at all.
But if not loving you, I don't want to love.
So ...
So I don't want to love you this way anymore.
But I don't know how to love you any other way.
So sometimes I wish I could not love you at all.
But if not loving you, I don't want to love.
So ...

Child's Play
We are selfish, unsocialized children,
hidden in grown bodies harboring old, hung up souls.
With hearts nurturing traversed ancient pain,
manifest in the daily exchange of modern offense.
Defined not by shared compassion's breath,
but petty lines drawn in shallow, bitter sand.
Foibles clutched against our chests like first born.
The thought of letting go met with tantrum, contempt;
even with that claimed truly held dear at mortal risk.
Our childish play a quiet war waged without purpose,
where once a boy's love for a girl dies without reason.
hidden in grown bodies harboring old, hung up souls.
With hearts nurturing traversed ancient pain,
manifest in the daily exchange of modern offense.
Defined not by shared compassion's breath,
but petty lines drawn in shallow, bitter sand.
Foibles clutched against our chests like first born.
The thought of letting go met with tantrum, contempt;
even with that claimed truly held dear at mortal risk.

My Funny Valentine (A Ballad)
My funny valentine.
Sweet, cryptic valentine.
You make me long in my heart.
Your looks, incomparable.
So photographable.
But for me a painful work of art.
Your lovely figure is ecstasy.
Your tender mouth formed just for me.
But when you open it to speak,
we seem so far.
And you won't change a hair for me.
Though I know you care for me.
Can we stay little valentine?
Can we stay?
With this, each day, my Valentine's Day.
Sweet, cryptic valentine.
You make me long in my heart.
Your looks, incomparable.
So photographable.
But for me a painful work of art.
Your lovely figure is ecstasy.
Your tender mouth formed just for me.
But when you open it to speak,

And you won't change a hair for me.

Can we stay?
With this, each day, my Valentine's Day.

I DO NO LONGER
Not by death will end come,
but anger's surrender or pain's retreat.
Nor from dearth of want to endure,
rather in the detritus of dueling constructs of love.
Fought with patronage confused with passion.
Emotional graft cloaked as sacrifice.
Our issue testament this effort not all in vain.
But certain, by destiny infused decision, to fail.
The callow hope of eternal "I do" long forgotten.
In a lush valley of rank can't and won't, lost.
Only the moment of "no longer" still unsure.
but anger's surrender or pain's retreat.

Whispers
From a darkness within love's light,
in passion's coded whispers,
a heart spoke.
Heated words adrift in empty space,
fallen cold to time hardened earth,
unheard.
Scattered in the acrid dust,
trodden with battered hope,
lying, dying alone.
Until fate-drawn grace,
discerned desire's muffled pleas,
and craved me.
And with burning promise,
now cradled in my lover's arms,
saved me.
in passion's coded whispers,
a heart spoke.
Heated words adrift in empty space,
fallen cold to time hardened earth,
unheard.
Scattered in the acrid dust,
trodden with battered hope,

Until fate-drawn grace,

And with burning promise,
now cradled in my lover's arms,

HER SMILE
A flawless form that forever stills my heart.
Fueling pensive hope things won't fall apart.
But something about it also haunts my soul.
Maybe our years' deceits simply taking their toll.
Trapped in a falseness the mind can't escape.
What there hides raises hair on my psyche's nape.
War seems to rage behind this practiced kindly smile.
Projecting on me something hateful, viscous, vile.
A hell's demons fight to breach the silent lovely door.
So bitten truths from a child's lips finally spew and pour.
The magma from a volcanic heart's repressed fiery...

She Loves Me
She loves me in ways that hurt my heart.
But it's how she's loved me from the very start.
And I've sold my soul to change our way.
Seems though this pain forever will stay.
Too late I fear to find a lover who gets me.
Must just gird myself for this one who hits me.
But it's how she's loved me from the very start.
And I've sold my soul to change our way.
Seems though this pain forever will stay.
