Which way the ember fall
Glass to the soles of my feet when I step
Smoke fills my lungs when no lighter can be found
The crush of gravity pulls my shoulders forward
Where did all the light go?
Pencils by the window where my artistry once bloomed
Water in the air but not a cloud
The burst of eardrums, ringing
What sense does it make to live this way?
I won't be here forever
I won't be here for long
I wish I loved you never
I wish I loved you strong
For all the sense we made and yet we had to work it out
A battle we lose before we begin...

I want to know what love is
I deserve love, but don't feel I will earn the love of someone I long for
I feel weak
I feel useless, unloved and depressed
My body aches to be held
I wish to look her in the eyes, see her soul, and know I have a home there
I want to feel welcomed, appreciated, and loved
I don't want to turn cold, but fear I must, to keep myself safe from the pain

Haven't seen her face for like 86 days
Still it change the pace of what's in my rib cage
Effortless grace with impeccable taste
Eyes could switch place with gems of fit shape
Slender little body rocking trackies looking baggy
Or glamming up in denim look like the cover of a maggy
Truth be told she had me from the moment she distracted me
Back when we were working at the cardboard cut-out factory
Sat together smoking on our rollies, joking
Poking fun at anything before we had to go in
Not the type to pray, but me and Jesus spoken ...
