I can tell that your dying,
crying
and denying.
on the surface your cool and calm
with a front
that must
come down,
crumble round.
I can tell that your screaming,
weak knees shivering
your afraid and broken
in your heart your no longer looking,
for comfort and caring,
so you sit staring
into a void
and all you see is mass destruction
your fighting,
your lying,
i can see what your hiding
it's no secret
I can see the white powder in your rolled 5 dollar bill.

oh my love
my head,
your chest.
my ears,
your heart beat.
oh my love
the way i love
the sweet sound of life in you.
your holding me in your arms so tightly
i'm afraid to breathe and loosen your grip.
our bodies molded together
yet i still feel so far away.
i miss you and i'm not even a step away.
that love
is the love
that i carry in my mind.

This is me
this is me,
this is me screaming out loud.
this is me crying with knees on the ground.
this is me knelt at your altar.
My praying hands clasped as i look up to you.
your arms stretched out over the cross.
I pray to you for your gracefulness and forgiveness.
I ask for strength to pull me through this vile.
The darkness has swollowed me alive,
I am weak and i call on you to take me away.
I call for you to save me.
To you i give myself, my heart, my soul.
To you i give everything. I transform for you.
I walk for you and sing your songs, ...

tears trickle down
and i feel your limp, lifeless body in my arms.
I wasn't ready to let you go,
I need you,
You are my hero.
You was by me through it all.
Guiding me and helping me grow into this person.
You raised me even though i wasn't yours,
you took me in and taught me.
Your hands held mine as we walked down the street,
I only came to your waist,
I remember how little i was compared to your tall strong body.

Pieces.
I'm left with pieces.
You broke me,
crushed me,
took me,
destroyed me,
killed me,
and threw me away
like i was a piece of trash.
you hurt me,
made me feel worthless,
but i still loved you everyday
i defended you,
told you,
consumed you,
made you,
believed you,
chose you,
needed you.
But i am nothing but remnants
of life,
failure,
dishonesty,
lies,
tears,
and untold memories.

I'm sorry im not perfect nor will i ever be.

you know me when i'm scared,
how i cuddle up real close,
like you'll save me when it's dark
and protect me through the worst.
You know me when i'm sad
and you'll dry up all my tears
and embrace me in your arms
and fade away my fears.

with jitters through my hands.
You'll hold me still and say
the best is yet to come.
