SELF POEM

Robotic
Silver tears fall from robot eyes;
The hole for a heart has broken wires.
The love we used to feel? I have removed those files.
Robotic people lead robotic lives.
Delete memories to give us more memory space;
The undistinguished face is factory made.
Modelled in clay; repeat again.
Another body, with another face; we are all the same.
Robotic people live robotic lives.
Work for the master for nickels and dimes.
Programmed to function, incapable of lying;
Programmed to self-destruct at the end of our time.

LOVE POEM

A broken heart sinking beneath the surface
It is rotten luck to have known of love;
Where once we were eternally happy, sad but a second in youth.
This love thing they speak of takes a hold of us
And we are forever at its beck and call;
The sorrow of learning the truth.
Once we ran all day and played in the sun;
Swam in seas alongside beaches, smiling and getting a tan.
Where once we ran after a ball, when we were still young;
Our childhood dissolved
And we were forced to become a woman or a man.
Before our hearts were captured and sure enough, broken;

Bite
Money too much, children’s laughter;
Fall apart beneath the moonlight.
Make me cry tears of blood, ever after;
I think I want to die tonight.
Dog bite scar puts pain to skin;
Leave it out and let me in.
Kiss my soul with teeth of barbwire;
Let me remember you within the fire.
Whisper words of wisdom and lets all jump across to hear them;
Another dead singer living on the edge of oblivion.
Wasting away in a puddle of blood;
Never been in love, because loves no good.
Whispers scream through echoes of...

Dead to love
I am the heartless, empty being;
Incapable of love, incapable of feeling.
Incapable of trust, incapable of healing;
This dead black heart.
Love to me is just a distant memory.
Something I did once, at least that’s what I think.
But to me love was phenomenal,
To her it was just a word.
To me no love is possible;
After falling in love with her.
Only hurt can I now feel.
That is when I can feel anything at all.
