Jesus Fire
I got the help of diseased adversaries
Living vicariously
Incorporating words into my vocabulary
In positions so creative they are beyond imaginary
Exponential hints in dreams
I wake up and try to figure out what they mean
But sometimes
I can only remember the crease in the page
I spend all day til’ I remember what they were trying to say

Get It Together
While I Picked an old scar back into a scab, so I could feel something again…
I found her love buried in the crevasses of my fingers
Memories do not wash
Tear drop stains on a sleeve of a sweater
Shyt I been tryna forget her
But I read the universe like one big love letter

Everything reminds me of …
Can’t even read her name without chest pains
Stolen breaths the pavement stained like a dead leaf where she let me fall for her.

Ballet Beauty
Plie! how my own knees bent weak
Watching her dance
I swore she was reaching for heaven
in a sky she made you believe was there
those graceful arms extending upright,
turned angel wings
flying across the stage on her pointed toes
as if the wind lifted her Arabesque into the sunset of a spotlight
If I could sweep her off her feet
I'd dance a lil too...

DARK NIGHT RISES SHOOTING
Shhh…the movie stared
BATMAN!
He was the main character…as the lights dimmed
Everyone turned downed their cell phones
Leaving chatters
In the overwhelming butter smell, sticky soda floors
& hard theatre seats but no one knew the Drama they were about see.
Brent had best the seat in the theatre
because it was right next to her…Jessica…
the camera reeled slowly onto Veronica’s 6 year old beautiful face…

these lips that have been polished by soo many words…
the glossaries of my Being
Indexing dic-tionaries about subliminal messages
& the undertones of indefinable intellectually complex…women
I say nothing that “swagg”
& pick up lines could have an advantage over
Just say what I feel
& anything the world is too ashamed to ask or admit they care about in a reverent manner
..therefore she becomes intrigued
I give that hard cover,
old school novel by the fire type of love

This goes beyond opening up enough to look into her eyes

The belly of the orange beast is swollen
Poverty infects America like the plague
Post rent,
Social Security couldn’t buy you an egg
Teenage girls are sticking their fingers down their throats purposely
While others are struggling to get something to digest
Rich consuming readers digest diets
While the obese do the trying to fit into anorexic pants dance
Tiabo not fighting the fat lies
Yoga stretching the truth
Organic is horse shit
