Just Assume I'm an Ass
We're so damn smart, we think we know it all
besides, everyone else thinks the same way
not a shred of proof but we'll speak with gall
screw the facts when emotions mix with hearsay!
It has to be true if the gossiping seems so wise
we'll believe it just to go right with the flow
but reality can differ if perceived by other eyes
any day we may be judged by a clueless bozo

Forgot if I lost it
I've lived life
probably lived out half of it
a quite chaotic half at that
so God knows I've made some mistakes
maybe too many
Satan knows about them as well
I did learn quite a few lessons
the practical ones I learned in Hell
forgotten near an infinity
I remember what I need to
I know good and evil will always exist
though, sometimes hard to recognize
good is often perceived as bad
and what seems bad can turn out good
my gut gives...

Blessed by a curse
Some poets pen the battles distressing the soul
we see the pain making one feel less than whole
a kind of insight that I'd often rather not believe
hexed by abilities most people cannot conceive
maybe it'd be worth it for a little fame and cash
just one more idle thought that's gone in a flash
I found that poetry can cause women to undress!
words got me laid; but added drama with stress
so what to do with a curse that won't disappear?
and will I have to write this shit year after year?! ...

Plans are made

the daily grind
the weekends ahead

Sometimes it's big

your presence can affect
maybe you're unaware
