Going Apeshit!
Archaic arcadian ancestors
Dwelt within their arcady
(This whilst in the OED
on Archimedes Screw!)
I also found Arcane
A secret known to a few
Accidentally rediscovered
In London Zoo
Within the monkey cage
Where-in was placed
Darwins loo!

Luna Murmurings
Like newly born stars
Murmurations
Of a multitude starlings
Were creating
A myriad abstracts in the sky
In perfect harmony
An orchestra of beautiful nature
Performing a ballet
Under a sky
With a mixture of hues
Of pinks, and blues
Which then, began to grey
As light bid goodnight, to the day
Soon the moon slowly arose
Full, bright, and mischevious
Laying low, in a darkening night
Whilst pixies danced
Beneath its radiant glow
Far below, far below
As the ocean crashed
Ebb, and flo, ebb and flo ...

Fake Reality (Posted 1/21/2017)
tisk, tisk, tisk…
maybe I’m just crazy
wasting my time in a cyber world
caring for imaginary frenemies
giving yet not given in a fAkE rEaLiTy!
people who don’t know me
feel the need to judge me
stand so tall against me
behind a computer screen
where has all the sanity gone?
turning away from an army of avatars
anger, pain, sadness, greed
are real even in a fake reality
commoner to a prophet
seeking to save the world
insisting that everyone is wrong
but where are your credentials? ...

a shipping accident
The shipping accident
It was late evening when the captain of a Russian owner cargo came down from the bridge where he and the first mate had mapped the route from Humberside to Amsterdam. North Sea is always a busy seaway
In his cabin, lit a cigarette, sat down and opened his personal computer to send an email to his wife; he had a two-month vacation coming soon and said he missed her and loved her, if she came to Amsterdam, they could travel to Swiss
Then, an almighty shudder, he was thrown off his chair, hastily got up, ran up to the bridge, to his horror, his vessel...

buried in clouds
One day my heart will have its final beat
Many, many years from now
And I wonder who I will go searching for first
I would assume it would be the one who helped conceive me
And confront the cowardly man in the sky who stole the father from an innocent daughter
Or maybe I’ll be too afraid to confront that
And it will be the one I thought I was in love with
To ask him one more time if he actually thought I was beautiful
Unless I’m too afraid to hear his answer and I decide to talk rock and roll with Kurt Cobain
I could also choose to have a...

THE CONSTITUTION: IMPORTANNCE
The First Amendment to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights and protects several fundamental freedoms. It reads:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Importance:
The First Amendment is crucial because it guarantees freedom of speech, religion, the press, assembly, and petition. These rights...

POETRY UNSAFE
She doesn't like to see me
take bath in the sun
or cross the doors naked
the body frightens her
even in the dark
as if buried in dust
the whole year passes
with her turning on me
like rheumatic twinge
emptiness haunts
with mind in the gutter
poetry unsafe

the forgotten
The forgotten
We forgot to buy a loaf today, but there is an apple tart in the fridge for breakfast tomorrow we will feast on cake and think of the daft woman in France, whose name I have forgotten
Putin was offered a 30-day break from warring, and he gracefully thanked Trump for his interest and accepted the offer, but first, the underlying cause had to be negotiated
Trump was flattered; he didn’t get the whole loaf but had to accept a lemon cake, Putin and Lavrov are both masters in chess, and the West, who do not understand what Russia has said
No NATO in Ukraine...

Polynesian Barista
Polynesian Barista
She is the fragrance
Of an orchid Lea
From a South Sea Hulu dancer
Whose grass skirt waves
In the tropic breeze
Her Pele spirit a lava flow
Across smoking slopes
Of denim shorts
Vested in bosom sacraments
Whose black flag
Hides pink periwinkles
Her smile the promise
Of lipstick luau
For photographic eye safari
When her conch shell timbre
Sounds from the blue cathedral
Where cetaceans dream
She is the fragrance

Afterglows
The bourbon goes down smooth
ai this back table
in a tragically dim lit room
staring into a glass
half full of regret and half empty of hope
never mind the Spring, inside
It’s still cold
An afternoon delight held in one hand
is a walking disaster
with no escape plan
the warmth of a swallow
makes far a worthwhile undertow
lights out for T town can you
count the afterglows

a lizard
A Lizard Sonnet
If you travel to escape the small lizard on your back
You will eventually be outside your parents’ house
Only they have long since go
Someone else lives there; perhaps a child sleeps in your bed
Dreaming your dreams
You walk down a street where you used to play
But no one knows, and the sense of loss overwhelms you
Swallow hard not to cry because your memory is untrue.
You left to get a small-minded town, poverty, and screams
In the night, but it was worth going back to remember what
An awful place you left.
