The Mystical Arts
The mystical arts are missing in heart.
Dismissal of God on missions so dark.
Equipping with darts, a hissing ajar.
Remission should start when listening sharp.
Our kingdoms regard what's business if war.
No kinship can march like whimsical guard.
Petitions to charge some wisdom embarked.
This isn't alarm, as wickedness warps.
Within its own charm, religion would warn.
Conditions before some Christmas remark.
Her bringing departs, how children reward.
Have witches won large, dominions afar?

ale and horses
A Horse and ale
The brewery had many horses to carry crates of beer
around to small shops, each horse and its driver was assigned a route
The horse I liked was shiny black and had been used for
funerals before
over the years, they got a bit broad hipped and stomach-heavy.
The horse knew the route and stopped outside the grocer`s and waited while
the driver unloaded crates of beer.
The horse sometimes had an erection thinking of a favorite mare bit

Greenland's American future
Greenland’s American future
In Nuuk everybody lives in festive houses made of wood, green, blue and red looks homily in the winter landscape
Thei are the people who speaks English, building
A dry dock for submarines, that will protect the sea from intruders, like the Russians and big code fish. The Greenlander will live in nice apartments
That have lifts, naturally the have to pay rent
There will be more shops selling imported food
Soft bread and, of course hamburgers for all
There will be bars with dancing girls included
The local can get...

shadow self
when night swallows our shadows
holding them hostage
returning them only in daylight
it's a reminder
half of what we are...
..is dark
all smiles under sun's rays
trying to hide the unwanted aspect
& there it is
plain as the nose on your face
following you everywhere
constantly changing shape
stretching & condensing
putting on weight
just trying to fit
into your falsely defined space
as you stuff it further down
lying to yourself...
more than anyone else

My sister works in public health
I work in public education
We hear a lot of weird names
We like texting them to each other:
I have a new client whose son's name is Marco Polo
Marco! Polo!
That's awesome I text back
Perhaps he'll summon ancient memories of his adventures on the Silk Road
A few weeks back I'd texted her one:
There's a new student at my school named Gorgeous!
J texts back the inevitable: Is she?
She's just okay.
And so on.
So when I arrive before my friend at the breakfast...

Womanhood has such magic within it
think; Songs of Hestia from her secret dell,
that the feminine in some men is spirited
to strike the shackles off of their man made hell.
It can compel a girl to leave her father's hearth
or a woman vacate her husband's rude bed,
and feel no remorse as they are moved to part
from the false authority of manly heads.
Don't think, Hoplite, those citizen warriors,
grooming each, naked, preparing to die at fight,
but rather think Aphrodite's sacred whores
welcoming little deaths on holy nights. ...

Freedom for Greenland
It is an ominous signal when the wife of the vice president visits Greenland, ostensibly to see its nature and be ever so friendly, but the Greenlanders are not fools they know Trump is sickling to get hold of this island, if he does the defenseless people will end up as rough sleepers in the streets of New York
The Greenlanders are simple folk living, have modest houses for a lump full of dollars they might be pressured to become American citizens
Money given is a lot in Greenland, and in New York almost of no value, should you regret it and try to move...

One really ought to start with the beginning, only it goes so long back
That it is impossible to remember.
I remember being born, but that was just an interlude, cold and
Unpleasant and being kissed by strangers.
I like horses, but that has nothing to do with my inception.
But then, was anyone ever born,
we are just a part of a bigger
A broader picture where we but an unconscious number
But I do like horses and would have loved galloping across some

Goodbye DUP
It’s been almost 8 years since I joined DU.
It’s been almost 8 years since I left my abusive ex-husband.
I had been living with him for 8 years before finding this site.
Finding DU was finding my voice, a voice that had been silenced for so long. I was being tortured, suffering, suicidal, and on the verge of relapsing with self-harm.
The community here saw my pain bleeding onto the page, and you came to support and uplift me. More than that, you all saw my potential, and encouraged me to overcome great feats.
There will never be another...
