A Toast To Time And Self Empowering
Just stopping through on a Saturday, the Sabath Day, in my culture, and I am fasting, due in part to Ramadan, and for all Christians who are celebrating, Lent, my spiritual incantation(s), to advice you, may peace, find, you as it cradles and keep you.
I would like to wish everyone a consecrated day and it is early March, wow...time is progressing. Spring is almost upon us can you believe kids will be heading to Spring Break, some parent(s) will be ushering their child/children to collage for the first time during the incoming Spring semester.

Racial tension and Floyd
A picture of a committee in defense of human right a picture where serious white man and a woman in a business suit and to black persons This was serious business no one smile except the two black persons that spoiled the gravity of the solemn undertaking
Most black people I have met were like me from a working stiff background I was employed on ships they were mostly onloading cargo from the said, ships, they appeared more open, talkative then us Scandinavians, we don’t say much unless we are drunk in a bar

one of those days (parenting edition)
It's been one of those mornings
where my kiddo wants to throw down
over every little thing
And like every other bad day
the only cure
is silliness
We've had tickle cuddles
played the "where's your beautiful face?"
version of peek-a-boo
and made fairy bread for breakfast
because if sugar doesn't cure grumpiness
it shouldn't exist
My parental nerves are frayed
and I really shouldn't be drinking
a third cup of coffee
but in the absence of any real
mind altering substance ...
where my kiddo wants to throw down

resting bitch face values
You walk in
disturb me from whatever I'm doing
to ask me why I'm wearing
my "depressed face" again
like I swapped a smile and lazy bed hair
for some emo eye make up
and a hair sprayed birds nest
No matter how many times
I tell you it's my "thinking face"
or "creative processing face"
or you know, just my actual
fucking usual face
when it's existing
in it's natural state
all you see is black skies
and storm clouds
streaked with lighting
and brimming with...

To deny the falsehood of my lineage and the truth of my need
I am the prophetess of past, present when hearts, minds, written in fables embedded on sacred scrolls when whips made skin bleed
What good is knowledge in the temple of honesty when the division of tongues cuts its roots
Branches have ancient narratives twined in its beautiful mysteries, the history of its truth ...

Choking on words
the asphyxiation makes me hard
smiles lay in wait
whilst pain seeps from the heart
aggression is undeniable
visceral, pliable
Dancing upon the graves
of fond memories
slipping on hourglass sand
to fleeting melodies
Diabolical in it’s precision
buried deep with indecision
A silent scream to the
wisdom of trees
exhalations whisper gently
through the leaves
standing in one place
for two shadows now
Stillness feels like stagnation
a pond is the sky until it...
