Somewhere
Buried deep inside
Hides the man that once was
The man he was before …
Before
The sand
The blood
And
The hate
Tried to kill him
But they failed
Kinda
He survived
But will likely
Never be the same
This is the cost
The cost of living
Living knowing
That the only reason
He walks this earth
And breathes
Is because
There is other men
That no longer do
