Joining the Throng
To Whom it May Concern,

My name is Umbra Hominis, you can call me Homey for short. I have been writing poetry for many years but never had much of a forum to share it with. Hopefully now I will be able to dazzle, delight, disgust, and/or debate many of you.
Love,
Homey

Let's haze the new girl
Hey im Aemilie-rose a writer of dark sweet romance and science
I hope you like what you read and plz give honest feedback
I been writing for 16 years
Nearly any and all subjects with a tacit fancy for a hearts dark desire
And the darkness of a mind

Now let's get to the submission. (Grins)

Space age love poem by:Æ

you should know

im obessed with galaxy and stars

but they make me depressed

knowing they will get swallowed by a selfishly hungry black hole

or implode into nothingness

a super nova brain splatter over a black background

but that's besides the point

even the

cosmos will die but for now

i am but

a mad girl laying
on the rocks of mars

waiting for your kiss
to touch me

egads.....

yes i said egad

dont you smile

like you are now

for i shall steal it for my own

as i do with all the fallen stars

These chains are heavy

These chains are heavy
My demons have awoken
Rum is my poison
My heart is broken.....

Tired is my heart heavy weights on my eyes
The poison has taken hold of me
I love my sons I love my boys
The poison is corrupting me
There's no way out.....

This life is not for me, nor am I for life
These chains are heavy
I cannot breathe, I'm choking
Soon these chains will lift and an end to the strife

These chains are heavy
Say goodbye to my boys
I love them dearly
I can not live this life no longer
What is the point to life I ponder
There is no point that's the problem
So I walk this earth aimlessly and wonder
For my mind is made and my thoughts are solemn

I'm feeling weak and the chains are to heavy
These burdens are to much for my heart to take
The pain I feel in my head and my heart is not sharp but the sense of a dull ache
Problem after problem issue after issue stress after stress
My life is naught but a screwed up mess

My poison is making me weaker the chains are heavy still
A few pulls on this chain and my soul will soon rise over the hill
For I will no longer be amongst the living
This is my pain this is my will
Too much life has taken no more can be given
My fight ends now
As I take my final bow
I say to myself show yourself no mercy
As life will no longer take from you

The chains are no longer heavy

"Around For Me"

To the one who plays a role,
Dearest to my imperfect soul,
Your mystical energy,
Will always make me feel at home,
And if you're there again,
When those darker times set in,
Know your company, will be comforting,
As it's always been.
For you have been a help to me,
So effortlessly,
When my thoughts felt so overwhelming,
That I couldn't even breathe,
But your smile will clear my hindered sight,
Much like midnight candlelight,
On one of those raw and cloudy nights,
Where every planet's held out of line,
Your words still hold security, tranquility, and alchemy,
And at the least, I feel at peace,
Seeing that you're still around for me.

Ello
I am obviously new. My work has been previously published around 9 times. I am looking for intelligent and serious writers to intermingle with, learn from, and befriend. I am an easy fellow to get along with. I can be very honest and Frank in my reviews But Never Rude.
