How about a Humor Category..?

I just thought of it today...  Having a "Humorous" category for poems...  Is that a good idea?  Or not?  Just an idea i'm passing around...

I'm thinking that humor would already fall into the Upbeat catergory wouldn't it? At least that's the category that I'd put my poem with the humorous side in.

I think humor is a way to say it all this poem is not just upbeat it's funny and you want a laugh read this
So I agree add a humor please

:) Yeah, I mean for right now you could put it in the 'upbeat' category.  But having a pure Humor category would be great for laughs and letting out that kind of emotion onto the site

Humour doesn't necessarily (I really need to cut down my use of that word, I must be addicted), mean that its upbeat. Someone getting struck by lightning after saying its near impossible, can be funny, if a little dark. Need I remind people of 'black comedy'; dark yet funny and harly upbeat unless you're a real optimist...

So a Humour category would be nice. Heed our words of asking Webmistress, and please grant us with this if you see fit.

Satire would be enjoyable but it could already fall under any of the other genres if you care to think of it that way

I agree, a humor category would be an excellent idea, because there are a lot of poems that simply don't fit the other categories. Plus, that way, if you just wanted to read a funny poem, you had a whole category, instead of scavenger hunt in the other categories.
